Or was he cheating? :)
It looks like President Bush was having a little fun at Kerry's expense last night right before the debate commenced.
This three still-shot sequence from my TIVO recording of Fox News Channel's debate coverage, clearly shows President Bush reaching into his suit jacket and pulling out a white pen.

Why?
I saw that at the time and laughed because the Kerry campaign can't say anything after what happened in the first debate.
Was President Bush Mocking Kerry Before Last Night's Debate?
Somebody has to do it.
pretty funny little dig on Kerry. I hadnt noticed it
I picked up on it right away Laughed like crazy.
Soooo...the evil man pulled out a black pen, and the good man pulled out a white pen...the old West lives!!!
Because it would violate the copyright terms as expressed by the guy who captured the screenshots. Go to the home page and read his terms, just before the picture.
Oh, ok. Sorry.
Well, as soon as I wrote that, it's kinda hard for me to believe he can copyright screen captures that were taken from a public feed. There's fair use somewhere in there, but whatever. (If he were really nice, he would watermark the images and let anyone reproduce them as much as they wanted.)
Kerry violated the terms of the debate agreement in the first debate. He pulled something out of his jacket as he reached the podium, all materials were to be submitted to a third party to be placed on the podium beforehand. Stills showed it to look suspiciously like a cheat sheet. Square and white. FOX blew up a still and said it was a black pen. Some of us contend they blew up the wrong frame, but that's beside the point.
In this debate Dubya pulled out a white pen in dramatic fashion. There's an opinion he did it to needle Kerry about his actions from the first debate. LOL
No it won't because the copyright (if any) belongs to Fox News or the debate commision and not to the blogger.
So feel free to post the pictures. Just because someone frames them and puts them on a blog does not mean they have exclusive rights to them. It is fair use.
Oops, it looks like I posted them.
Yep, though you forgot to say that it's a dirty job. LOL
LOL. "Ain't he a stinker"?
Nice.....
I think he was trying to get the MSM to have a cow. They didn't. They knew it was a trap.
What could they say?
Yes, I saw that and thought the same thing. Only this time it was, in fact, a pen, and not a stack of cards like Kerry brought.
