RENO, Nev. President Bush told a crowd of about 16-thousand people in Reno today that he needs their help to win re-election.

Bush opened a 35-minute outdoor speech at Rancho San Rafael park by saying he was proud to be back in the "Biggest Little City in the World." He said he was pleased to be in a place where, in his words, "the cowboy hats outnumber the suits."

It was a revised version of a line he used in a speech the last time he was in Reno in June, when he said he always likes being in places where the "cowboy hats outnumber the ties."

Dressed casually today in a blue shirt with an open collar, Bush cited Nevada's low unemployment rate of four percent as a sign of the nation's improving economy.

He sure Does Vet, and You never hear on the TV news Media, what large crowds he is drawing. Even this morning on Fox, they kept showing John Kerry playing football on a airport runway, instead of showing the 30,000 to 40,000 people who showed up to rally with President Bush last night in Tempe , Arizona.

Someone should make that suggestion to him. I'd love to have him address everyone in full cowboy regalia. Either that or the flight suit.

W and his team always play to a fullhouse. Tommy Franks came to our town on Tuesday and over 2,000 people (a sellout crowd) showed up. Across town some RAT ex-POW and former Ambassador to Vietnam (how apropos) named Peterson gave a pro-Kerry barfer to a vitriolic crowd of about 100. Of course 20 of those were media types and another 20 were supposed ex-'Nam vet props the Kerry circus brought with them.

I would like to know that too. Curiously, there never seems to be any wide camera shots of Kerry's audience.

I don't recall any presidential candidate drawing such big crowds as Bush. Maybe Reagan, but back then there was no FR to see those pictures and the MSM didn't publish them.

Thomas and Mack Center occupancy is 18,000. There were very few empty seats. Only empty were behind the camera platforms.

Awesome alive crowd today.
