"John Kerry is a sphincter." (Jonah Goldberg)
National Review ^

Posted on 10/14/2004 9:31:17 AM PDT by Lunatic Fringe

I've always had two theories of this election. The first was the conventional wisdom: If Iraq and the economy were going well by Labor Day, Bush would be a shoo-in. But that's turned out to be not too reliable a rule of thumb, because the economy is neither bad nor good, politically speaking. As for Iraq, that's even more muddled. It certainly is true that Iraq is going poorly in many respects. But what the conventional wisdom — including me — failed to take into account is that Kerry could prove so untrustworthy that Bush could keep a double-digit advantage on foreign policy even though Bush's signature foreign-policy achievement is at best a work in progress.

My second theory involved an even more elemental fact. John Kerry is a sphincter.

Didn't quite get the two commandments right either. . .or the 'Article of Faith' last week. Acutally, been posted here; his incredible misquotes of Bible verses and their context.

But hey; MSM does not go there with Kerry; so no problem. They will just leave it that he is a 'genius'. For sure.

Let's be honest here - given the choice of sitting down with a beer and talking about the state of the world with either guy, well, it isn't a choice. And that isn't just some sort of faux blue-collar chic, it's an appreciation of their respective abilities to boil highly complex scenarios down into simple courses of action, which is, after all, what a president must do. It's fine to leave the constituent aspects of world terrorism in a state of quantum indeterminacy if one is attempting to write a book or formulate a college seminar, but one needs to see beyond that when the issue is whether or not to drop bombs.

Kerry's tendency to dither is one way of ensuring that he does not jump to an incorrect conclusion, which is not at all a bad thing, but when it extends to never reaching a conclusion at all in order to avoid an incorrect one, that is not a characteristic to be sought in an executive. Executives are supposed to execute, not dither.

If I were Jonah I wouldn't just stop at Kerry - I just read an article where Jesse Jackson came out after the debate last night as a "Senior Advisor" to Kerry and said that Bush is going to take America back to the time of the Confederacy. Slavery dontcha know.

Next article, after debate, Michael Moore, talking to slackers - "pick your nose, pick your ass, I don't care just pick Kerry" We need to be like Canada. He also said America is "doomed" if Bush is elected. Okay, but what was bad is they interviewed ADULTS that were crying about how insprirational Moore is, and how it IS NECESSARY FOR THE FUTURE OF USA TO GET RID OF BUSH.

I have to admit - all of the good feelings I had after last nights debate (BUSH WON) just disappeared and I actually started crying because I so fear that Kerry will win and the Jesse Jackson's and M. Moore's of the world will not only win also, but they WILL GAIN EVEN MORE POWER BECAUSE KERRY IS SUCH A GIRLIE-MAN WIENIE.

John Kerry is a sphincter.

That would make a superb tagline.

The sphincter must be defective because it sure isn't keeping the sh*t from spewing out.

The sphincter was probably stretched by Terry McAuliffe shoving his hand up the puppets a$$ so many times.
