The man behind the story picked up by The Washington Post and New York Times; suggesting a bulge in President Bush's suit during last week's debate may have been a transmitter feeding him answers — turns out to be left-wing writer Dave Lindorff (search), who just last year said, "It's going a bit far to compare the Bush of 2003 to the Hitler of 1933. Bush simply is not the orator that Hitler was."

That bulge was a spine. That's why Kerry didn't have one.
Just another reason why Limbaugh refers to the MSM as a transcription service.
The bulge was body armor, specifically the backplate. Given the general liberal ignorance towards firearms, should we be surprised thta they don't know anything about the topic?
This man is a maggot. Pure and simple.
He wouldn't defend America if the Russkies were steaming up the Potomac in gunboats.
Imagine, all those "smarts" and no manners. What a boor.

I pointed out that very fact to two nitwits who were letting their tongues get away from them yesterday. Boy, did they get quiet right away.
I did the same, but the libs sent me an email link to an article where the White House said the President wasn't wearing any armor.

The buldge was back in this debate. I think it's a back brace or something. It cuts so low to be Kevlar and it's really protrudes from his jacket. In any event, the fact that it's so obviously large here should put to rest the idea that it's a transmitter.
Maybe it's just me but it looks like kerry has something under his jacket in the same area.
First of all, even if he were cheating, he wouldn't need a transmitter. His voice (and image) were openly being transmitted to the entire world. He would need a receiver.
Now, given today's technology, how big would a receiver have to be?
Less than one cubic centimeter, smaller than your little fingernail!
How big was the bulge?
'Bout seven hundred cubic centimeters!
Whatever it was, (body armor seems most likely to me) it wasn't a transmitter!
Libs are SOOOO stupid!
TS
Nah, the bulge I saw was about 4 sq inches.
RE: "It's going a bit far to compare the Bush of 2003 to the Hitler of 1933. Bush simply is not the orator that Hitler was.But comparisons of the Bush administration's fear-mongering tactics to those practiced so successfully ... by Hitler ... are not at all out of line."
This guys is either an idiot or worse. In actuallity, if we want to play the game of comparing with various 1930s leaders, Bush most closely resembled British centrists who, in spite of a certain urge to preempt the overtly threatening geopolitical conditions, were undermined by their own socialists, and, lacking a completely rightist position and a strong nationalistic fervor, were unable to fully rally their countrymen to take strong action against the growing threats. That the Left would claim that Bush is anything but this means that they are wanting to remove even such moderate responses as Bush has made and surrender to the up and coming Axis. Arrest them all.
It's a device to enable the Secret Service to direct the president in the event of an emergency.
