Billboards now seen in at least 10 key states show a prancing French poodle, its fur fancily clipped for show, wearing a pink ribbon and a blue Kerry-for-president sweater. The text says: ''That dog don't hunt.'' And: ''For 20 years John Kerry has voted against sportsmen's rights.'' As Election Day approaches, the National Rifle Association is clearing its throat, ready to roar.

I'll believe Kerry is pro-2nd Amendment when "Combat Handguns" endorses him.
I was hunting in Iowa last year with a sheriff from one of the counties there, and he pointed to a house in back of us, and said, "See the house over? We just did a drug bust a week earlier, and the guy we arrested had an AK-47 lying on the bed right beside him."
However, in an earlier campaign speech Kerry told the same story but he only used the term "assault rifle" leaning against the wall near the bed. I remember researching the local article and the sheriff clearly said it was a Ruger Mini-14 near the bed.
I realize this is just a technicality, but it goes to show that Kerry has once again changed the facts to present the most "menacing" scenario to security moms; an AK-47 on the bed sounds worse than the truth. And truth is not in John Kerry's corner.
about time....
It's about time!! Stomp em, NRA. Likewise to the Swift vets. Be relentless. Destroy the Traitor and his pathetic side-kick Ambulance Chaser.
I also noticed his timeline does not account for the fact the AWB was in place and active on the date he spoke of, so either the gun was legally purchased/obtained, or it was obtained illegally during a time in which the ban was supposed to be effective. Reinforcing the point that the ban did little to deter criminals. IMO
Amen! And to that I say Amen! But I call him a rat bastard traitor......
Umm... there actually is a HUGE difference between an "AK-47" and a "Ruger Mini-14".
like the difference between fully automatic and semi-automatic, legal vs illegal (to the average joe w/out a class III).
Actually - were it a Mini-14, THAT would still be legal even when the AWB was in place.
Were it an AK-47 that would still be ILLEGAL even without the AWB in place (again - unless the owner had a class III license).
Best.Avatar.Ever.
Regardless of whether the villain and the AK in sKerry's story indeed exist, semi-auto AK-47's have been perfectly legal and available for $300-400.00 at most any gun store in free America.
"The truth is John Kerry's the worst thing that could happen to the Second Amendment,'' LaPierre said.
Jennifer Palmieri, Kerry's Ohio spokeswoman, called the NRA's claims a "ridiculous distortion'' of his record.
"He's a believer in the Second Amendment,'' she said.
"Independent-minded NRA members will not be fooled,'' she said, adding that many of them do support Kerry.
Palmieri said Kerry is a sportsman and will be hunting in the Youngstown area next week. Details of the Oct. 21 visit have not been finalized.
Former state Rep. Michael Verich of Warren, a Democrat who is backing Bush, said while northeast Ohio is heavily Democratic, those are generally conservative Democrats who believe in the Second Amendment and less government intrusion into their lives. He said the gun issue could swing Ohio to the president in a tight election.
At one point during the press conference, LaPierre held up a Remington 11-87 and said that it is the kind of gun the presidential election is about. A similar gun was given to Keyword (WHO?..lol) last month in West Virginia. LaPierre said that in West Virginia, Kerry called the Remington a fine hunting gun, but in Washington he called it an assault weapon that would be banned under legislation Kerry supports.
However, Palmieri said the NRA made the same claim last month, and it was disproved. She said the Remington would be legal under the assault weapons ban.
They also had a picture of Mr. LaPierre holding the 1187, calling it an rifle!
Are you talking about an AK-47 "Style" weapon or the actual AK-47....
John Kerry on deer hunting..."I go out with my trusty 12-guage double barrel, crawl around on my stomach. I track and move, decoy and play games and try to outsmart them. You know, kind of play the wind. That's hunting".
Yeah, right.
Kerry and the other grabbers are counting on the security moms not to know the difference though. Millions of people still think the AWB was about machine guns and silencers.
It's almost as if they don't finish their statement which would end with "Of course, we won't really be rid of assault weapons until we confiscate the millions already in private hands."
Unfortunately very true.... this is exactly why we should all be very precise and clear when discussing this issue.
That is NOT intended to be slam at you.
yes, yes, yes.
