Married Up Kerrys Blundering Reagan Rip-off
As we all know, President Reagan passed away this summer. In the multitude of heartfelt remembrances and eulogies, Brian Mulroney, former Primer Minister of Canada, related this story:
President Reagan had spoken to Parliament, handled complex files with skill and good humor -- strongly impressing his Canadian hosts -- and here we were, waiting for our wives. When their car drove in a moment later, out stepped Nancy and Mila -- looking like a million bucks. As they headed towards us, President Reagan beamed, threw his arm around my shoulder and said with a grin: "You know, Brian, for two Irishmen we sure married up."
In that visit -- in that moment -- one saw the quintessential Ronald Reagan -- the leader we respected, the neighbor we admired and the friend we loved -- a president of the United States of America whose truly remarkable life we celebrate in this magnificent cathedral today.
In yesterdays debate John Kerry rather shamelessly appropriated Reagans line about marrying up. Heres what Kerry said:
Well, I guess the president and you and I are three examples of lucky people who married up.And some would say maybe me moreso than others.
But I can take it.
Reagans joke was self deprecating and good natured and even played in to the American dream of the underdog being the winner. The class and beauty of their wives formed the basis of the gag. Class and beauty is what they married up to.
Kerry, on the other hand, transformed marrying up in to marrying wealth. His crass me moreso than others took the class and beauty out of it and made him come off as the smarmy gigolo he is.
He tried to rip-off Reagan but couldnt even do that right because Kerry just doesnt get it.
I almost thought I had misheard him,but I didn't. But what can you expect from a soulless left-wing peasant, who's only (and un-original at that) idea is to preserve and protect the welfare-regulatory state status quo at all costs? Like Billy Jeff Blythe, Mr. Kerry wants to be POTUS so he can say he was President, not because he believes America is the greatest country on earth. Did anybody else notice that Bill "Mr. Smarmy himself" Richardson was at all 3 debates? That man is also a verrrrry bad man.
Well, invoking Reagan didn't work for algore either.
They can't help it. sKerry's minions and the MSM are into the democRAT partyline so deep, they can't say anything else. Talk about mind-numbed robots!
That's based on what someone told me, though, so it could be wrong. I'm not really too interested in JfK's love life at any rate, though I have seen any evidence that he actually HAS any.
Kerry really is rotten.
Ronald Reagan was the best President we ever had.
He was humbled before God and it showed in his life,
and how he lived his life.
I was VERY sad when he died. I know everyone's time comes, but but there will never be another President or human being like him.
This country really suffered a loss in losing Reagan, but
we should all thank God for allowing us to have such a generous soul in our midst at that particular place and time on this earth.
Kerry should be ashamed. The lack of character is appalling. This is present in most liberal democrats, and for a while now, but it still makes me sick to see and hear it. Their mindset doesn't allow them to be ashamed or allows them to make excuses for their stupid, shameless, and evil behavior.
>>> I was under the impression that Kerry had his first marriage annulled (a la Henry VIII) so he could marry TaRAYzuh.
That was a church thing, the divorce was long over. Catholics can't get remarried in the church until their previous divorces are annulled by the church.

They have got to be the iciest couple on the face of the planet!!
Wouldn't mind catching one or both the Bush twins in one in private.
