There are these Democrat operatives who say anything, do anything, to push the leftist line. These operatives are, unfortunately, the members of the MSM [Main Stream Media].

The spin they put on the third rate name calling of both Democrat candidates ["Your VP candidate's daughter is a lesbian"] is the most galling. Right after the debate even Andrea Mitchell was calling it what it was---a cheap trick or disappointing--, but the next day the constraints come out and they parrot the line or don't speak of it at all.

This is really an intolerable situation.

With the MSM and the union thugs stuffing ballot boxes and the Dem Lawyers in place to demand "re-counting" until the right result is reached, I am not so sanguine about the election.

I hope we have some October surprise to wash the field of these punks, but I am not confident that this is the case. Laura Ingraham right now is echoing my feelings about this as she talks about Gore's 2000 Recount Election lawyer David Boies on Imus this morning.

Here's a ping for the lines that made me LOL:

You can lead a horse-face to water, but you can’t make him drink.

Water, water everywhere, but gotta stop to think, to quote The Rime Of The Ancient Swift Boat Mariner.

‘Respectability’ seems a weird obsession for a fellow who writes for an ‘alternative’ newspaper funded by ads for transsexual hookers whose particular charms are spelled out at length, so to speak.

No matter how flamboyantly Osama bin Laden sashayed down the sidewalk in his fishnets and miniskirt he couldn’t catch the Administration’s eye.

Read his lips: No new crutches. Now that’s a campaign promise. President Kerry may be paralysed by nuance, but no one else will be. The healing balm of the Massachusetts Messiah will bring the crippled and stricken to their feet, which is more than Kerry’s speeches ever do. Just because he can’t choose his water doesn’t mean he can’t walk on it.

"His prose is as brilliant...."

Often when I read an article, I try to pick out something particularly good to highlight and share by repeating. With Steyn, I would have to copy the entire piece.

And me. I had to set up a seperate folder in MS Word for his articles, which I also routinely fire off to friends.

My wife heard me hooting with laughter and she said, "I'll bet you're reading Steyn again."

These had me pounding the table:
"Not in this election. Imagine the strain of being unable to answer a simple question of beverage preference without flipping through the old mental Rolodex to calibrate the least politically damaging answer. Water, water everywhere, but gotta stop to think, to quote The Rime Of The Ancient Swift Boat Mariner."
and
"The healing balm of the Massachusetts Messiah will bring the crippled and stricken to their feet, which is more than Kerry’s speeches ever do. Just because he can’t choose his water doesn’t mean he can’t walk on it."
