Bush is right about technology in healthcare. All my x-rays and MRIs lately have been digitial. Saves time, and saves money in the long run.

Physicians cannot focus on clinical issues because of the excessive complexity in medicine introduced by government and its fascist collusion with the insurance industry and the AMA. High tech is absolutely there already for things like MRIs. It is primarily electronic medical records that he is referring to as a thing to reign in costs, and it does not reign in costs to have a non-market "solution" imposed. Use of the EMR must rise from the free market unencumbered by Federal blackmail, and from permitting more freedom in medical record keeping as a result of reforming the present excess and increasing government control.

The president has been listening to the Hillarycare holdovers who are primarily interested in EMRs in order to gain control over the system by being able to pry into records collectively and individually. Unless the free market produces the system, it will not only be abused but reduce freedom.

Nonetheless, the President did well on this issue against sKerry.
