Kerry looked like a humorless cadaver tonight. Rarely giving even a forced smile. Bush looked fresh, enthusiastic and optimistic.
Mort is appalled at Kerry mentioning Cheney's lesbian daughter. Thinks it was dirty pool when Edwards did it and also when Kerry did it tonight. Very low blow and Mort looks angry about it.

Barnes president's best debate, Kerry on defensive. Pres good and animated from start. He did great.

Kristol: Bush very effective especially on taxes and really clarified the tax issue. Bush knocked Kerry out tonight!
Brit: Bush was better able to marshal his arguments.
