Man's best friend should have fire arms training as well to avoid mishaps like this.

Sounds like his owner needs to sign him up for the NRA's "Eddie the Beagle" program!

Certainly this was an assault shotgun. Congress should work to pass legislation to make them doggie-proof.

Nonsense, now if the dog had gotten off a second shot to finish him off, THAT would have been an assault shotgun.

If the dogs are to do the shooting, do we have to swim out and get the birds? I knew it would come to this

Many dogs, because of their sloping shoulders and paw configuration, are recoil-sensitive and thus, will tend to use a shotgun, or a load that is simply much too light for the job. You simply are not going to put your human target out of commission with a low-brass field load of #8 fired from a 28-gauge or heavens forfend, a .410.

That is why we at Kenny Bunk Kennels are introducing Gorilla and Chimpanzee Genes into our popular Wolf-Hyena-Wolverine-Doberman-Preso Canario, Rottweiler, Neapolitan Mastiff-German Sheherd-Chow-Jack Russell-Pit Bull-Jackal Security Hybrid line. It has already proven extremely popular, with advance orders pouring in from pharmaceutical importers and DIY stimulant makers.

Our new Security Pups(TM) will not only take a huge and very septic bite out of any intruder's posterior, but as the unwanted guest is writhing on the ground in shock, awe, and pain, the new KB Security Hybrid will have the ability to unholster a Desert Eagle and administer the coup de grace. This will give his master time to pack up and clear the area.

We are taking Christmas orders now. If you are presently incarcerated, check out our lay-away plan.

Remember, there is no such thing as a bad dog. Our new Security Pup (tm)Hybrid is wonderful with kids!

cosmo said, "Guns don't kill people, dogs kill people"

that's funny, thanks Cosmo!

[as for the guns don't kill people slogans, did you see the one, 'guns don't kill people, abortion clinics kill people' ?]

We must pass laws to close the dog-show loophole.
