In today's New York Sun, Thomas Lipscomb reports on the latest mystery involving the Vietnam service of John Kerry, who by the way served in Vietnam . . . We're not sure what to make of all this, but certainly the story of John Kerry and Vietnam is more nuanced than the simple tale of heroism he sold his party and is trying to sell the country.

Is this in the hard copy or just on the internet?
BTTT!!!!!!!
"Look Tonk, I normally love your support of the Swift Vets but calm down please about Fox.":
I'll not "calm down" about FOX.
They ARE NOT covering THE story of the election!
They sold out, and I know it.
And so does everyone else.
The last debate they called it "even"
Then the Greta poll said Kerry won by a landside.
Need more proof?
"My radio host, John Carlson, reported today all the dollar contributions to political candidates from partisan liberal msm 527's er... news orgnizations. Of course there is no surprise about abcnbccbscnnmsnbc etc, but sadly FOXNEWS contributed about 35,000 (?) and only 5,000 of it to Republicans... It's worse than we thought."

Somewhere in the report it said that Kerry's medals had been reinstated in '78 under Carter. This indicates that they were removed or declared null and void back in '70 when he got his first discharge. We could figure out what type of discharge he got then by finding out under what conditions the Navy strips you of your medals during discharge or separation from service.
BTTT!!!!!!!
I'd settle for an editorial.
Already mass blasted to my and other email lists.
Internet Warriors....Mount UP!
If WSJ carries it, Fox's SEAN HANNITY won't be far behind.

"Ya, but some other media must check it for stories, I'd guess."
Absolutely. This is a good development.
When you ask the question, or bring up the topic- please phrase it as "did Kerry receive a discharge other than honorable" - there are so many kinds of discharges, that if you ask about a specific one, they could lie by omission...

Gosh, I fear you are right. Fox has been leaning a bit left in my opinion, lately. And O'Reilly! What the heck is even on there for? He's as biased as they come when it comes to Veterans speaking out. Bah!
BUT - remember the new Swift Boat ads are to debut today on Bit Hume's show. About 20 minutes from right now (4:40 pm Cental). Let's see if they really do.
All that we have is winter soldier and his lies before congress.
I doubt Hannity would look into this.
Everything you said about Kerry and his military records is true, but how to prove it without a signed 180 form? Thomas Lipscomb talked about this on radio recently, too. The records we've been able to see show that Kerry's medals were reinstated in 1978, when he got his honorable discharge due to the Carter fix. Surely the Navy has strict rules governing when and how you'd be stripped of your medals upon a not so honorable discharge. If we knew that they were, we could figure out exactly what kind of discharge Kerry originally got even without a signed 180 form.
> FOX News NOT covering this story!
a. There's not much of a story here, and
b. What there is, is definitely not a "TV" story.
Did Hannity cover it on his radio show today?
If so, see if it comes up on H&C.
I've been watching the discharge story since the early
suspicions based on that 2001 date on the DD215.
It's evolved from speculation, to a question that
deserves an answer, but even to accept the current
state of it requires accepting 3rd-party interpretation
of curious language and arcane military procedures.
This sort of thing doesn't make for riveting TV.
Although the case is stronger than it was (and certainly
stronger than wild conjectures about Bush based on a
complete absence of records), it's not yet compelling.
If the Swifties could, for example, get the Navy to say
"yes, your reading between the lines about policy is
correct even though we aren't at liberty to divulge more
detail", then more of the conservative and emerging media
might run with it.
Keep in mind that the conservative media tend to be so
in both senses of the word.
> Chad Clanton told them about "the list" yesterday.
> And FOX caved in.
I disagree. Fox has known forever that they'd be a
target of a Dem Admin. They probably also have their
hands full with the developing O'R mess.
Hey, I just had a new thought why Fox might not want to be the first one to say anything about it. Maybe, just maybe, they don't want to again be touted as "siding" against Kerry. Probably not, but just a random thought flew on by me, lol.
Gotta bump...
O'Reilly is otherwise occupied.
Tonk, FYI, when there's a slow or down problem here, I lurk over at our Canadian sister site:
