Yup! It really is war now. Like I said before if it were up to me O'Reilly would be off the air now. If he has not quit by the weekend and Ailes has not resigned or been fired, we'll know that Murdoch is circling the wagons and it is going to get real ugly.

As unpopular as this is, I will hand it to him for his past stands on moral issues. However, should these charges prove to be true then I will say adios to the blow bag.

Gut felling is Bill is toast.

Right - kind of suspicious that she was sexually harassed at CNN (gee is she that alluring?), and then came back and worked for O'R whom she claimed was talking inappropriately before she left Fox?

Right!

Wonder if it ever crossed her mind that you do not accept dinner invitations from a boss that talks very suggestively? Any ninny knows that.

Looks like she saw a cash cow and took it, has been bought by the dems as their bait in their march on the talk show hosts, or just wants the attention to move her up the ladder of fame and then get her book.

Many of us may see it that way, but others in the public may not. Liberals will use anything they can too hurt conservatives, even an atypical, questionable, conservative.

I'm starting to wonder whether BOR's extortion included being publicly sympathetic to liberal causes during air time.

Of course he's a Democrat. Only a Democrat would resort to the subtrafuge of claiming to be an " Independent ." A conservative is proud of who he is and would never lie about it.

I don't watch Greta for the voice or the looks though. I like the "experts" going on Ad captandum vulgus.

Maybe Lis is a little weak though. She is easily talked over. How about Ann Coulter, eh? Not even remotely fair and balanced, but the right personality. Close, at least.

Whoops - forgot about the Fedlaw part of the complaint.

Thanks for the reply.

If he refused to cough up $60 million (and what possible relationship does that number have to any alleged damages?)

The shake down started at $600 million! I'll see if I can find it.

"(Coulter) Forceful, yes. Attractive, no."

Yes, but I don't think many of the 7 million viewers were exactly watching BOR because of his good looks- let's be honest ;)

We may disagree with Alan Coombes, but he seems to be a faily balanced guy.

O'R is not a conservative so how could our side be hurt by his creepy dealings?

Guilt by association.

The Left doesn't attack FOX because of O'Reilly. It's Murdoch and the head of the FNC, Roger Ailes. Ailes worked for Reagan or Nixon way back when.

I noticed that two. If I'm not mistaken, he said Ann was the right's version of Al Franken.

Here's why, emotionally, the case feel like extortion, even though legally it likely isn't extorition: 1 - In the typical settlement negotiation, the explicit claim is "Give me money or else I'll get more money from you in court," and the addendum "plus, your reputation will be detroyed" is obvious but left unstated. 2 - But here, the plaintiff's lawyer allegedly said, explicitly and as a negotiating tactic, in effect, "give me a lot of money or I'll destroy your reputation." Sleezy, but if there's a good faith claim involved, then likely legal.

Exactly

Generally these kinds of statements are considered 'trash talking' and not actionable nor admissable in court. Further attorneys are immune from suit from making them, even if the other side is unrepresented because their job is to advocate for the client.

O’Reilly claims to be a “traditionalist.” I have no idea what a political “traditionalist” is. Does anyone know? I think his claim to be a political “traditionalist” is nothing more than his vain attempt to separate himself from the ordinary and thus draw attention to himself.
