This is happening all over the state. The pols can't get enough of our tax dollars, so they've decided to charge us for ALL new highways. Too bad they can't curb their insidious demand for our money!

It is indeed Highway Robbery and we should ALL fight it!!

Thanks Meek. I didn't read the rest of the thread, but IMHO arguments for and against toll roads can both be "right". The problem I see is that the State of Texas(and most others I suspect), taking their cue from DC, have gotten "entitlement" fever. They have found that the good citizens of their state may grumble now and then but will ultimately "pay up". After all, who wants their own state to be a second class, er, citizen?

Have you been to any state or local gummint offices lately? All state of the art. I can remember when they were happy with corporate rejects. No more. The botom line is a line needs to be drawn somewhere. Toll roads might just be as good an issue as any???
