As Oprah Slaps Bush With 30 states poised to smack down women's rights...

As Oprah Slaps Bush
With 30 states poised to smack down women's rights again, the one true savior emerges

So there she was, the nation's most powerful and popular public female, kicking butt on a recent installment of her insanely beloved TV show with the help of celeb guests (Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, P. Diddy, Christina Aguilera) and galvanizing stunned women across the nation to participate in this election, or else.

There was Oprah, doing what she does so freakishly well, cheerleading and extolling and impressing upon, getting women up and getting them angry and demanding that they exercise their hard-won right to vote and demanding that they quit dissing their feminist ancestors, the ones who worked so damn hard for suffrage and for freedom of choice and for the right to tell powerful white sexist Republican men where they can shove their repressive sexist antichoice bigotry.

This was her fabulous, much-needed message: Take your rights for granted at your peril, ladies. Move, or else. Choose how you want the laws to treat and respect you and your body -- or someone else,

What a bitter piece.

Typical of the liberal mindset, they're always right and if you don't like it then you just have to "get over it". But when it's "our" turn at the controls the world is going to spin backwards and they just won't "get over it"

Yes that was a very bitter article filled with hate, lies and bad information.

My question is did Oprah actually try and rile up her audience against Bush or for Kerry?

Oprah needs to play the "Race Card":

Let us play the “Race Card” if Kerry were Black, Mexican, or any other race and he would have been as disrespectful as Kerry was during the Vietnam war, “Would he have even made it to the Senate or even as far as running for President?” Of course not, the type of white race that is supporting Kerry would have had a few choice words to label him with and we all know it. Had Kerry been any other race we all know how far he would have gotten in Politics.

If Kerry were Black, Mexican, or any other race and the Vietnamese communists clearly recognized John Kerry's contributions to their victory. The type of white race that is supporting Kerry would have had a few choice words to label him with and we all know it. For more information click or copy and paste the link below:

As you visit this website think about this, “If Kerry is elected President, he will be the first United States President to ever have his picture hanging honorably in a Communist museum.”

I still say Oprah has done more to hold women back than help them move forward. She may have a lot of money and she may be a nice person which are great; but it doesn't make her right.

I have always felt she uses guilt trips to hold her audiences captive.

Oprah and her feminist allies are trying to highlight the fact that Kerry is pro-abortion, especially after Kerry botched the questions about partial-birth abortion and public funding for abortion in the second debate. That was the single best part of the debate in that Bush's stance was clear and unambiguous (and right!) while Kerry looked every bit the flubber and equivocator Bush accuses him of being. The reason for Kerry's weak response is simple: OHIO. Ohio is socially conservative on most issues and abortion is no exception. The suburbs of Ohio are not the suburbs of Philly or Chicago and Kerry can't look like a die-hard proponent of abortion because it doesn't play well in Ohio among the socially conservative suburbanites. This is just another example of how Kerry can't straddle every issue and get away with it. His die-hard supporters in the abortion lobby were horrified by his response in the second debate. That was the price he paid for trying not to lose Ohio over abortion. Keep in mind that every time you hear someone like Oprah talk about women's rights and women's pride, they are talking about abortion and trying to shore up Kerry's support since he can't go over the line abortion for fear it could cost him the election.

With paragraphs like this:

This was her fabulous, much-needed message: Take your rights for granted at your peril, ladies. Move, or else. Choose how you want the laws to treat and respect you and your body -- or someone else, someone who hasn't touched a vagina for 30 years and who thinks sex is only tolerable in the dark, fully clothed and with a respectable prostitute, will choose for you.

And this:

This has been the GOP's message to women since, well, forever: Be like Laura Bush -- submissive, matronly, heavily shellacked and ever flashing a disquieting mannequin grin, off in the corner reading stories to the kids and cutting lots of pretty ceremonial ribbons and keeping quiet about the Important Stuff and never having sex and always be standing just out of the spotlight, secondary and inferior and in the background. You know, right where you belong.

it should be clear where this Mark Morford stands. Obviously to him, abortion is a form of birth control, something to aid a woman in her search for free, no strings attached sex. Unless he changes his heart, I hope he rots in the darkest, most painful part of HELL.

Selfish baby killer. Kill babies, for SEX, that's what he's saying. And for his point about "men wanting to keep women down", I don't know of any pro life person that believes a man should be able to impregnate a woman and just leave her. In fact, we believe the opposite, that BOTH parties should take responsibility. Listening to Mark here, NEITHER party should take responsibility for their actions.

Reguardless of how one may feel about abortion, just given the responsibility angle, which do you think is the more responsible position, Mark? Forget it. Reading the rest of your horrible editorial does not leave me with the impression that you can reason that, or anything, out.

Abortion. The highest sacrament of the Left.

Funny how even the embodiment of stereotypical flamboyant homosexuality, Mark Morford, feels the need to bang on the Satanic pulpit in support of sacrificing children to Molech.

It's just ingrained in the Left.
