I'm sorry, but I think the Swift Boat thing, and the whole Vietnam story has played out and the "undecided" don't give a rat's a$$ about it any more.

With 20 days out of the election, we can't pin our hopes on 30 year old documents. The President must focus on Kerry's senate record and on Kerry's flip-flops over the past 12 months, as well as focus on his own vision for the future.

Kerry's (dis)honor in Vietnam has been well played... but it's been played out.

Yeah, but even if that's so, this is also about a cover up and dishonesty. If Clinton was the one to honorably discharge, then we aren't just looking at something that's thirty years old. We're talking four!

I've got to agree with you. Even if there is something new, it will get no play in the press. If this is the big surprise, Bush better have something else up his sleeve.

With them still beating the Bush National Guard drum -- as lates as last night's Scarborough -- you don't think a story that KERRY received a less than honorable discharge wouldn't change some minds when we're in the midst of a war and he's saying: "he wants to get back to where terrorism is considered a nuisance?"

Yeah I'd agree its been kindof played out too. But if they have proof that he got less than honorable discharge that would be huge. I dunno, if its on the front page it has to be newsworthy.

That's exactly the plan on the front line, where the Bush team is engaged.

But unaligned compatriots are still working other areas of weakness on the flanks.

Alot of people are interested in ensuring that this bitch is dead. Not dead like Jason in the first fourteen movies. We want him Generalissimo Francisco Franco dead.

I agree with you. Not sure this will do anything in the election, unless it also shows that he had to change records to get honorably discharged, etc. If that's the case, then it could be really bad because I think his discharge happened only in the last 4 or 5 years.

Most of them get their info from the legacy press, who
have stone-walled the Swifty issue.

For whatever this is to have traction, it needs to be
something the legacy press can't ignore (or debunk).

Nonetheless, the Swifties have often been a bit naive
about our Pravda Press, and may be over-confident of
traction.

We'll know shortly.

I disagree - big time.

this would show to even the stubbornest that Kerry is a phony, a liar, and lots more.
A large percentage of his base is not enthused about him - just going along for the party.
I do believe you'd see a massive deserting of rats down the bow line/// Besides - I think K just might loose big time - and Ter-ray-czar would come out with some outrageous statements. If this is true - he's gone. Dare I say it, for the first time, there IS something big enough to take even the protected liberal down. If he hadn't made his whole campaign about"did I ever tell you I'm a Vietnam HERO" - it would be different. The press will turn on him big time. They wont want to be tarred with the same brush. "Kerry? Kerry who? No, I don't know him." (The achilles heal of the liberals, including the MSM, is that they still haven't got the fact that we ALL can research and find any information now .they figured whatever photos of his anti-war/Fonda days, and allelse, might be dug out out early, have a flap in the news and then the news lets it slip into oblivian - then up and onward. But here we sit - with the world of information at out fingertips. We have access to everything... Long Ride the Pajama... - how ever you spell it

This is not about what the President or his campaign is doing. It is what some highly motivated Vietnam veterans are doing.

The restraint the President has shown on this issue is nothing short of remarkable considering the anal exam the press has been giving him over his exemplary Air National Guard service.

I think you are correct as far as the information we know. But if there are new government docs, not just hearsay, then I do think that would be devastating for Kerry. If official records prove that Kerry has been spinning a story; that he can't be trusted, he will at least 10% support, and probably even more supports just won't vote at all.

You know, they never quit denigrating President Bush's service as a pilot in the National Guard. In fact, the thing on PBS last night did so through insinuation. The
stuff about Kerry seemed to be presented with more of an attempt to make him look good while trying to maintain the
"fairness" appearance.

I disagree. Even the Vets who have drank the kool-aid won't vote for Kerry if this is true.
