The threat from OBL is for after the election, not to disrupt the election. If you are in a state that votes majority Bush and he is elected, THEN we will come get you. If you want to save yourself, vote for Kerry.

As to his hope for a second Bush term, I doubt it. He is impotent. Just like his threat against the European coalition members in the Spring that never materialized, this is a veiled threat to dissuade Bush leaning states.

If he had the means, as was said earlier, he would have sent a bomb instead of a tape.
