You are most merciful, O God, for You have provided shelter for Your children in the midst of chaos ... "The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you, and said, Destroy." Deuteronomy 34:27. You would have us calm in the midst of storm ... "Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, for the Lord thy God is with thee, whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9. Your Word teaches that there is none greater than You ... "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4.
It is to You, O God, that we come in these troubled times. Let not fear overtake us, for fear comes from the enemy ... let not chaos consume us, for You are the God of order ... let us not tremble at the strength of the enemy, for the Spirit of God is strongest. Grant unto Your children, Merciful Father, the calm assurance that You are Sovereign God. Shield us from any plans the enemy might devise ... if there is to be any harm, let it fall back upon the enemy. If blood is to be shed, let it be exacted from the enemy. Stand watch over our beloved country and those nations we defend ... shield our precious sons and daughters who defend us. Out of chaos, O God, bring Godly order, that we might once again live peaceable lives. In the Name of Jesus, we praise You, Amen ...
