I wonder what happens if certain places (cities -- i.e., NYC) went to Red prior to the election. Would voting be cancelled in these places?
To be honest, that is why I voted early for the first time in my life. I live out in the middle of nowhere, but I am concerned that SOMETHING is going to happen election day. I went out last Friday and cast my ballot. This may be a wild week.
"Would voting be cancelled in these places?"
I'm confused. Why would anyone orchestrate an attack within the US either right before or on election day? I mean, without an election, GWB would remain president at least, until elections could be held, right? This is assuming, of course, that GWB wouldn't be a target in any attack, I suppose. Anyone know or care to venture a guess as to what would happen with the election and presidency if only those states with the most electoral votes were attacked or if those states in which Kerry wasn't ahead of GWB were attacked...would the election continue and would those votes which are already in be counted?

(the map I was responding to in my first post (3586)is at post 3243 thread 13)
(snip)
1) the map may not be to scale (hard to tell)
2) it might be an "electoral weighted map" (states sized according to electoral votes)
3) the three points of light may have political and physical significance ("the water")
4) whether you fix the pieces and move the points or vice-versa; they hit swing states
5) doing the former (moving points) places them near FL, OH/PA, MI . . .
Objective: In an outcome made uncertain by attacking the most crucial cities/states (and thereby taking them "out of play" no matter the outcome by delegitimizing the results), they seek to "destroy America" by replicating 2000 (ATXN42000) and turning an already highly polarized nation against itself."
