The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists.

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits.

"It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel.

And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election.

Around 6:30 there was a muslim women standing on the corner of Burbank and Sepulveda ranting away in some language. She had a little speaker box thing. I watched her as I put gas in my car. Then she quit ranting and held up a picture towards the sky, pulled it towards then put it back up several times. Then she packed up and sat at the bus stop. She had a white robe and headgear but a green sache or whatever they call it. It was odd.

This election, IMO, will cast the fate of America for decades to come. It goes beyond the Presidential race. Example, Georgia has gone conservative, more so than any time since reconstruction. Think about that, 140+ years. Tonight the American people are speaking volumes and loudly.

I firmly believe that the American people have said the WOT is a very important issue and they are ready to face this battle. It will now heat up. The line has been drawn. The WOT and, consequently, the security of the world is in play. In other words it's in our hands.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A former Clearwater man who tried to buy an old ambulance and two surplus police cruisers from St. Petersburg College in August is an "affiliate of a terrorist organization," according to police documents obtained Wednesday.

Abdalla Deiab, 51, was arrested in Michigan on Wednesday on a warrant charging him with failing to return a hired vehicle, a Largo rental car, Pinellas County sheriff's and Largo police officials said."
