The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists.

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits.

"It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel.

And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election.

"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat."

Analysis: The Significance of the Blood-Moon Eclipse with Today's Events

Tonight marks an event that is being heralded by Islamic fundamentalists as a sign from Allah that a Holy War with the USA and western Christian civilization will lead to an Islamic millennial kingdom with Islam becoming the only religion on Earth. The event that would precipitate all of this is called a "blood-moon eclipse". While a total lunar eclipse is rare and won't happen again until March 2007, of course it is made all the more rare when the parameters include that it must come during a particular Ramadan.

Such an eclipse in Islamic prophecy is seen as heralding a sign from Allah that the Islamic "messiah" will come forth to lead Islam in a Holy War against the infidels of the world that will conclude with Islam reigning supreme around the planet. Such prophecy has already apparently steeled the nerves of Al Qaeda leadership which is steeped in Islamic fundamentalism.

Under this Theological Prophecy, some of Islam's more influential radical theologians issued a Fatwa or theological edict/doctrine that approves, recommends and urges onward those who would take up the banner of Jihad or "holy war" against American Infidels in the Middle East and also within America's continental borders. Why? Because they believe that this Ramadan is the one prophesied and thus the ultimate victory is assured which will bring about "paradise on earth."1

Previous Al-Qaeda Attacks Timed Around Lunar Eclipse

In May of 2003 a total lunar eclipse took place, leaving the moon in a blood red hue. During that same week of 2003 the world witnessed the deadly Riyadh bombings that left 26 dead, many of them Americans.

Late on May 12, while much of Riyadh was asleep, three vehicles: a car, a pickup, and an SUV drove through the streets of Riyadh. Their targets were three compounds: The Dorrat Al Jadawel, a compound owned by MBI International and Partners, the Al Hamra Oasis Village, and the Vinnell Corp. Compound, a compound owned by a Virginia-based defense contractor that was training the Saudi National Guard. All contained large numbers of Americans and Westerners.

Around 11:15 PM, a car packed with explosives attempted to gain entry to the Jadawel compound. Guards opened fire, causing a small gunbattle with the suicide bombers. They then detonated their car, killing the three Saudi security guards.

At the Al Hamra Oasis Village and the Vinnell Corp. compound, the bombers shot the security guards outside the compound gates. They then opened the gates with the security controls and drove their trucks into the compounds. As they fired wildly, they screamed phrases like “Death to the Infidels!”. They then detonated both of their bombs, devastating the compounds.

Today's News about a Terror Warning Tape

While not much information has been released as of now, we do know that a video tape containing a detailed description of the impending attack on America has been released. The speaker on the video tape cannot be independently verified, however many believe it to be FBI's Most Wanted, Adam Yahiye Gadahn. Gadahn is being sought in connection with possible terrorist threats against the United States.

On the 1 hour video tape discovered by ABC News, the speaker makes comments such as "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead, and "America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda."

While the CIA has claimed that they cannot verify the authenticity of the tape, they are beginning to look much further into this video. The timing of the release is either very coincidental or ominous. The CIA's preliminary analysis may have come up short, but judging by the speaker's chilling statements, whatever lies ahead cannot be good.

I certainly had that feeling when the pitcher was on 3rd base and not running home! Seriously - and I'm not even a baseball fan but you have to admit, it was weird.

I looked up the stadium, couldn't get it from your link. The arch is in the background of the stadium. I wonder if that is the two bows arch? Friday night I dream't of a plane crashing into a building. I thought the building was yellow or had yellow borders or lines. It was weird. It also appeared to be like a landing pad. So I couldn't figure it out. However, looking at the stadium and the yellow dirt of the infield it is similar but in the dream there was a big X in the middle of the yellow circle.

Have been wondering about the same. How can "chilling" details be of "low level concern"? Either they think the tape is a hoax or they're trying not to scare the sheeple.

The CIA & Co. are sending conflicting statements. Adds to my uneasiness.

I don't scare easily, but I do get concerned easily.

Thank you! I heard on Fox that this tape is an hour long and contains details of the next attack. If it is of "low level concern" as the CIA says, why haven't any excerpts been released?

Need to double check. I've read that it is a low level of concern because there are no details of the next attack.

Z - Back in the Old West, outlaws used the 4-corners area of CO, UT, AZ and NM as a way to evade law enforcement. They'd simply skip across a state border whenever a lawman from one state would show up. UBL's current destination has similar traits.

My bet is that UBL is heading for Tibet, because he knows we probably won't risk an full incursion into China to hunt him down. That reduces our options to a small specops team or teams that he can better manage. Also, there's a significant Chinese Muslim local population there, and a weak CENTGOV presence.

Likewise, it's also not without a certain humor that he's 'been discovered' just before the election. As I said before, I believe we've had EOT 24/7 since Tora Bora. Imagine that.
