Obama: I voted against the anti-infanticide bill because it would undermine Roe vs. Wade.
Yet not a single pro-abortion U.S. Senator agrees. Infanticide crosses the line for even them.
If elected, Obama will be the most extreme senator ever.

Keyes did a fine job. He was articulate and stayed on message. He refused to let them get him all tangled up in any side issues.
I'd say that the people of Illinois should understand their choices a little better now!!

Maybe because they are the products of dysfunctional families, which they view as "normal"?

How can anyone deny the reality so well expressed by Keyes, that America's greatest threst is the moral undermining of family commitment?Evil expresses itself in many ways and then is rationalized by all who look to evil to assuage their sense of personal guilt. Unfortunately, it doesn't help good to get elected.

Ninety minutes for the Pres. debates seems too long, but this went way too fast. I could have listened another hour.
KEYES WON!!!

Time has already told whether people would figure it out on their own. In mass, they have not. With this media, they WILL not. What time will tell is how long we have until we become a colony of some other nation with an economy that will dwarf our own.

Am I mistaken, or is it acurate to say Obama pretty much just presented talking points, rather than "rebutt" Keyes, but Keyes, as soon as it was his turn to speak was able to express a concise analysis of what Obama had just said and point out the error in his approach... then go on to state what he felt was the correct approach?

Thanks for the thread. I'm sorry I missed the first half hour.
Dr. Keyes comported himself exactly the way he had to given his underdog positioning and the way the moderators were framing their questions and approach.
He needed to get his philosophy out there on the table in a blitzkrieg manner given the situation. Hopefully, in the last two debates he can start focusing in on Obama's record and a more structured precise approach to the issues, but this "free associating" session was probably the best initial foray into the awareness of the Illinois people. Cheers!

Eternal Vigilance was there, tonight. I'm sure he'll fill us in when he gets home.

"
One of the three just took another cheap shot at Keyes after Keyes said that Blago was never in Springfield. "Nice you could find your way to Springfield." What a jerk. I can't tell by the voice who said it. I wish they had to identify themselves."That sounded like Osama to me.

In so many of his answers/responses he said we need to go to the heart of the matter, back to the beginning, back to the foundation and fix all the things underneath that are broken before we begin to do repair work on systems and structures that are flawed from underneath, like building on decayed foundations. This will hopefully ring as very wise with people, very elementary. So many have that hopeless feeling, knowing we keep throwing money at things that are so broken - frustrating. Someone that actually cares enough to really take the time to really fix something once and for all, the courage to really try to undo all those dirty hands that are controlling these broken systems. I just hope they were listening! If they where they cannot help but see things right.
