Any definitive news on the death-decree judges? They all should be ousted at the earliest opportunity, by election if immediately possible, otherwise preferably by impeachment. Yes, I'm talking about the Schiavo case.

The two supreme court justices up for affirmation are both Bush appointees.

Is there a thread on the constitutional amendments?
Vote Yes on 3
No on 7 & 8

Thanks for doing this - I have not had time yet to check out who is on the ballot here in Palm Beach County, but if anyone else knows, I would welcome all input.

Thanks!

The Florida Bar is recommending retention of both SCOFla justices and all 22 DCA judges. From their home page here, look in the middle column and click on the "merit retention judicial poll" link to see the .pdf with the individual ratings.

So far, I've found nothing controversial about my 5th District DCA judges. I looked at the last two batches of opinions and while I think some of those involved are guilty as heck, the actions of the trial courts were pretty bad and the rationale in law for the DCA decision made sense in a highly technical way. So far I favor keeping them.

I still stick by my NO ratings for the two SCOFla justices and the 4th District judges.

Any specifics about the Judges in the 5th District aside from the chart at the top of the thread? If anyone has any info or links it would be appreciated.

I saw the decision on Terri's Law, but frankly I'm more interested in judges' views on abortion. Does anyone know which of these judges are pro-life? Or maybe some cases regarding abortion laws that they've ruled on during their tenure (even from before their appointments)? I'm not totally a single issue voter, but for judges it's hard enough finding any info! So I figured I'd pick my biggest issue and go with it. Any ideas?
