Kerry claims he received a 'long' voice mail from Reeve the same day he went into cardiac arrest, fell into a coma and subsequently died the next day.
I find this incredible!! Who among us believes Kerry was possibly Reeves last phone call of his life?
I think Kerry has some splainin' to do.
"Kerry, who knew the "Superman" actor for about 15 years through family and dedication to the same causes, said Reeve left him a long voice mail on Saturday thanking him for campaigning on the possibilities of a cure for conditions like his." http://www.dailynews.com/Stories/0,1413,200~20954~2461635,00.html
"The star of the "Superman" movies fell into a coma on Saturday after going into cardiac arrest at his home in New York." http://www.cfra.com/headlines/index.asp?cat=2&nid=20516
It is possible that Reeve could have called Kerry before he lapsed into his Coma. Let's leave it at that.
NOW - WHAT WE SHOULD HAMMER :
Christopher Reeve in Reader's Digest : Acknowledges that stem cell research might help at the acute level, but that HE would NEVER benefit from it himself
JOhn Edwards : If John Kerry is president people like Christopher Reeve willbe able to get up out of thier wheelchair and walk!
That is what we need to hit -- Kerry-Edwards using Reeve name and memory for political gain with absurd bullshit claims when Reeve himself acknowledged that No one will ever get up out of a wheelchair and walk, but permanent paralysis might be prevented at the acute level (BTW there are already treatments out there without stemcells that can prevent paralysis in spinal cord injuries if started fast enough)
I don't. If it were reversed and President Bush had made such a claim, the MSM and the rest of the Liberal Nation would be all OVER it.
It's a legitimate question that goes right to the heart of Kerry's honesty. If the right doesn't learn, and learn soon, how to get off the high road and down in the trenches where the enemy is, then the country will continue to grow more liberal by the day as it has done for the past thirty years.
MM
Kerry: "Reeves last words were puzzling to me. I think he was referencing my running mate's wife. He said, 'I'm comin', Elizabeth! And it's Bush's fault!'"
Kerry: Lying like there's no tomorrow.
(But then tomorrow comes...)
Ironically, this infected pressure ulcer seems to have been caused by his daily (driven) work on his exercise bike, acc. to his interview with Reader's Digest last month.
