"They Better Hope We Don't Win" - Kerry Campaign Threat to Sinclair Broadcasting
Dayside - FNC

Posted on 10/12/2004 10:19:45 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Linda Vester is currentlly interviewing Chad Clanton, described as a 'senior Kerry campaign advisor.'

Discussing the plans of the Sinclair broadcasting group to air "Stolen Honor," the documentary about Kerry's Vietnam war service, Clanton stated:

"They [Sinclair] better hope that we're not elected."

Vester immediately asked if that was intended as a threat to Sinclair that a Kerry administration would not renew their broadcast licenses. Clanton tried to back off, but the threat was unmistakable.

These people are thugs.

If you go to www.StolenHonor.com, you can either buy the video or get the pay-per-view of the streaming video. I got the pay-per-view version today and it is really powerful. The scenes where the POWs describe the torture they underwent is heartwrenching.

"I think, uh, they're going to regret doing this, and they better hope we don't win."

This is one of the more troubling statements of the political season, for it gives us insight into the progressive political approach. This is the same bunch that imposes speech codes and "hostile environment" regulations on campuses while at the same time expressing a commitment to free speech. The dangerousness of these people is that many of them don't see the irony. I hope that someone can figure out a way to make this a real issue over the next few days.

I posted this on either this thread or another thread regarding the same subject:

Regardless of what this little gangster said about "he just heard a ruling from the FCC", Rush said on his radio station that it wasn't a ruling by the FCC but rather a statement made by ONE Commissioner of the FCC. That Commissioner is always in the minority in his opinions, according to Rush.

And they called Republicans "brownshirts". They don't even have to win before taking the masks off and showing themselves for the bullies they are!

And Chad did not get a very friendly reception from Linda's group. They especially didn't like the threat!

They will have no problem violating our rights to free speech.

They will have no problem putting you in a re0education camp.

More than any one person, John Kerry is responsible for the deaths of several million South Vietamese amd Cambodians.

If you go back and read your history, the ones that were killed were for the most part the educated, teachers, lawyers, professors, religious leaders.

Why a teacher, lawyer or college professor would support a socialists[John Kerry] is beyond me.

Did y'all just watch Special Report and the reporting about the vandalism at Bush/Cheney Headquarters around the country

Which was a fair reporting

But then the Kerry/Edwards campaign wanted their reports of vandalism to be reported

Our side rec'd bullets shot through windows and arms broken and their side has "W" or Bush Rules written on the window

Discussion of Sinclair controversy next up on Special Report with Brit Hume. Let's see if they mention Clanton's threat.

Just heard Raicot (BC 04 chair) stating that Union thugs are calling their actions storming. Interesting that they are actually using the Storm Trooper analogy. I just went to the Drudge link with a colorado stations report on voter fraud. Very serious.

I hope Repubs and Registered democrats that really care about our Country get to the voting booth to prevent these fascists from getting anywhere near the White House.

The dangerousness of these people is that many of them don't see the irony.

These are the tactics of communists. It's becoming increasingly difficult to tell the Democratic party from the communist party. This is not to say that all Democrats are communists, but certainly the loudest Democrats are at least their dupes.

I have yet to see the Bush administration pull any stunt like this despite Michael Moore's treasonous movie, the hard left leaning coverage from the major networks, the shadowy world and objectives of Soros and the shrill language from Dem leaders.

Brit just aired clip of Clanton's threat. Brit asked Sinclair VP Hyman about it, and said it sure sounded like a threat and he couldn't believe that a presidential candidate would do something like this.

I just turned on Brit...too late to see that segment. I DID catch Mark Hyman of Sinclair Broadcasting though...what a polished spokesman, he did a very good job. Nice looking too....

Frankly, I'd be willing to bet some cash that many of the "vandalisms" occuring to sKerry office windows etc, were done by there side.

Hyman said that the Kerry campaign wants anything that is the least bit critical of John Kerry to be considered as an in-kind contribution from Pres. Bush. He said using this logic, every film clip of a car bombing or terrorist act should be considered an in-kind contribution from Kerry. Woo-hoo!

Thank you so much for taking the time to transcribe what Chad said on Linda's show

That sure sounds like a threat to me and should give every broadcast station a chill knowing that a Kerry Presidency will shut you down if you air or report anything that is not favorable to him

I also thought Hyman was a pretty cool customer. I liked the way Brit handled the questioning: asked all the appropriate questions while letting Hyman have his say.

This is story isn't going away! Now, how can we get it to break out beyond Fox/Drudge?
