In 1999, when Clinton needed to cover his a** over the bombs into Sudan and Afghanistan, ABC produced this "exclusive" report that declars the clear existence of a relationship between Hussein, Bin Laden and the hunt for WMDs. The 180 the MSM has taken since then is beyond breath taking.

Maybe, just maybe, ABC "knows" something. It's October, after all.

Just maybe we are seeing the beginning of a little house cleaning in the MSM. Fact is, that the NEW MEDIA is going to put out the REAL NEWS and the MSM is finally realizing they are not invincible.

They also don't want to go out of business, because too many people switch viewing/listening to the NEW MEDIA...it is amazing what arrogance can do to your senses (afterall, just look at Kerry).....

This is going to be interesting --- Bush should shove this scenario right up where it belongs.....

Yes..it's, dare I say it, conspiratorial.

Wait a minute...doesn't ABC News use teleprompters from the 70's?

There is one image in my mind that is seared, seared there permanently.

It was impeachment time, I think it was December of 1998 or thereabouts. Impeachment was very much on the front burner and in an effort to deflect attention, clinton lobbed a few cruise missiles here and there.

I shall *never* forget (did I mention it was seared in my brain?) when timmy russert came on to discuss this latest development. Timmy was positively gleeful that clinton had thrown a few bombs around and that the impeachment process had been at least temporarily derailed. I think timmy thought that the derailment had at least a chance of being made permanent hence his glee and s**t-eating grin.

That brief timmy appearance would make for some great TV moments now - the same aholes that are moaning about what GWB has done (which has indeed made us safer) were literally having orgasms when clinton was lobbing a few cruise missiles around which did not make us safer but only made up for the oval office BJ scandal.

As I mentioned, that event is seared, seared in my brain.

"The 180 the MSM has taken since then is beyond breath taking."

Speaking of a 180, when will ABC's investigative reporters ask JFnK to sign his Form 180 and release ALL of his dubious and flimsy military records.

You've nailed it, EagleUSA. The MSM knows it better start to clean up its act. They now know - finally realize - they are no longer the "only game in town."

The MSM has competition and, as with everything else, competition ultimately cleanses the field of all but the winners - and to win, you've got to be on your game.

Somebody switched off the media after 9/11. When you go back into the print archive pre-9/11 you find articles written by everyone saying that bin Laden and Iraq had ties.

Wouldn't it be nice if this was packaged in a commercial for election eve?

I'm sure it could be done, but would All Biased Coverage (ABC) allow that to be done with their "property"? Maybe we should start a 527 just to run this ad.

"Just maybe we are seeing the beginning of a little house cleaning in the MSM"

Think that is too optimistic. Whatever they are up to; it must serve their 'agenda'; whatever it is.

Or, maybe, this is a just 'bone' of sorts; offered to some big dogs, who may be clamoring for a real house cleaning at ABC.

Whatever, we know, the MSM are 'what they are'. Don't see that changing in any idealogical; agenda driven/serving way. . .

Al Rantel on his evening show was reading a bunch of stuff related to this story...It sounded to me if "true" that a huge bomb would go off in the MSM and the Kerry camp!

Great idea! but I fear it wouldn't make a difference anyway. The people who are voting for Kerry are doing it because they hate Bush, not like Kerry. They would remain stupid.

It's off the thread's topic, but I agree with you 100%. I always, always, always believed, and always will, that Klintonista launched the cruise missiles to divert attention away from his pee pee.

It is the cold, hard, harsh, unvarnished truth.

It led me to theorize at the philosophical level how many people use diversionary tactics to draw attention away from something they are trying to hide. I wonder how many times in history political leaders have used diversionary tactics in an effort to run and hide from their own personal sins which they are trying to cover up.

Clintoon. Surreal. Hopefully the cruise missiles hit some sand or dirt. I would not want to see someone killed because Klintoon was trying to divert embarassing attention away from his uncontrollable, roving weenie.

I also wondered whether Hilarity kicked his butt and straightened him out! I bet she did and made him stay in the doghouse for awhile. That argument would have been awesome to behold. Hilarity knows why Bill launched the missiles, she knows ....You can run, but you can't hide from that chick. I bet William has been a good boy ever since.

No soup for Bill! Yikes. We are all going to have to stand before the Big Man (God) at the end of our lives. makes you think. You only get one shot at life, no "restarts." Most people do not have the option of launching a missile strike to cover up their sins either.

They now know - finally realize - they are no longer the "only game in town."

I think the Halperin memo and the closing question at the debate on Friday show the opposite. They are completely isolated and can't conceive of a world where intelligent people don't think exactly like them, and they'll even put it in writing as Halperin did.

Unfortunately, as long as Mr. Aile's keeps Brit Hume on cable only, the unwashed masses will still get the majority of their news from the Bias group (All Biased Coverage, Naturally Biased Coverage and of course the Chairman of Biased Stunts)
