Kerry should release his military records; that could erase doubt
Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star ^ | October 12, 2004 | RICHARD A. DELANEY

Posted on 10/12/2004 6:42:53 AM PDT by vc79

TWO RECENT ITEMS in The Free Lance-Star prompt me to respond. In the first, "Service debate distracts" [Sept. 26], Norm Mosher, chairman of the Lancaster County Democratic Committee, says, "I think the president should let it go and tell those Swift-boat liars to get back in their holes."

Then, in a letter to the editor ["Didn't Bush find Guard enticing 'escape hatch?'" Sept. 27], Lewis P. Fickett Jr. writes, "For the most important job in the land, should we prefer a three-time Purple Heart winner (John Kerry), or a person whose military track record borders on the fictional (Mr. Bush)?"...

This opinion hits the nail on the head about Kerry's war service. John Kerry is living the lie. An officer who ditches his troops after four months in country due to questionable wounds is not fit to lead.

Based on historical trends and heat of battle situations, Kerry would have been fragged from his six o'clock within six months. It's no wonder he had a get out of Dodge plan. If he had his crew doing many more battle re-enactments on his movie camera they'd have fragged him from his twelve o'clock.

The reason he does not release 31 pages of his records, I suspect, is that they will show that he was orginally discharged in "Other than Honorable circumstances" and that he petitioned the government sevreal times to have it upgraded to honorable.

He was finally granted the upgrade by Clinton. If his actual record became public, he is finished as a presidential candidate.

What doubt?

There is positively no doubt in my mind that Kerry, like Clinton, was part of the communist plan to demoralize America and win the war for the USSR.

Clinton, of course, journeyed to the USSR while a "student" at Oxford. Further, he journed to another Iron Curtain country probably to get his marching orders from his leaders.

Those orders were to marry a communist from Illinois, get into politics in a backward state full of stupid voters (there are a few intelligent ones, however.) and get elected governor someday.

The Chinese communists would gain a foothold in the capitol city of that state in banking and would assist their agent(s) in stealing the keys to the White House.

Kerry's mission (no Manchurian Candidate, he) was to position himself with a filthy rich widow, hang out in the senate for 20 years and racking up an ACU record of zero, then run for the presidency to complete the task the other two agents had left undone.

If elected president, Kerry, like the Clinton duo will leave a trail of bodies that will include many who were his "friends" and then he'll probably have to marry again after being widowed.

Kerry's refusal to sign Form 180 and release his military records while at the same time lying to the American people by telling us that he has release all of his military records is a BIG story, but the main stream media is helping Kerry hide the truth from the American voters.

Kerry should be forced to release his records, and his lies need to be exposed.

Didn't some news organization sue to get Bush's military records released? Where is the same effort to get Kerry's records released?

Also, where are the guys that "served on Kerry's boat" that were on stage with Kerry at the Dem's Convention? Why are they not being interviewed in the press? Why is Kerry hiding them? What has Kerry promised them for their silence?

There is a BIG sham being played on the American people, reminiscent of communist Germany in the 1930's.

Kerry will never sign 180. Why should he. The press is helping him lie.

There is obviously something in the Traitor's records that he is trying to hide and with just three weeks until the election it's unlikely that if he has signed the "180" he's going to sign it before the election...

Too bad someone at the Navy couldn't "leak" the records...

No. Bush signed a 180 and the press went to the pentagon under FOIA.

Kerry has not signed a form 180.

Perhaps this is the Clinton's "October surprise"..... to be released anonymously and blamed on the republicans? It would assure Hilliary's position for 2008.

They could, but thank God, military folks respect the law, and won't. Part of the reason our country works is that the military serve under civilian authority, and are, (to the public eye), apolitical. They will do the job as well under Bush as they did under Clinton, and will continue to serve in the same manner for the president's successor in (I hope) 08

I don't give a rats a$$ about his 'stinkin 4 months in combat. What he did when he got home is all thinking Americans need to know!

He denounced his comrades-in-arms, the military in general and worked feverishly to gut every military defense program that eventually dismantled the Soviet Union.

His first speech in the Senate was to solidify abortion as a government responsibility... he has allowed gay 'marriage' to gain a foothold in his state and voted against the Defense of Marriage Act.

What he did in-country during Nam was aggrandized, but what he did during 19 years in the Senate deserves a good, old-fashioned 'hangin!

In my opinion This is one of the things that the Republicans should be hammering Kerry on, along with his wife's financial records, Kerry's medical records, and asking why Kerry unlike Dole will not give up his senate seat

No. If it gets released, there is only one outcome: Kerry is finished and the MSM faces the wrath of the american people because they were so anal about Bush's record and FOIA. CBS and ABC are already out as lib supporters. Americans will turn off the MSM for good if his records are made public before the election.

It is not in Clinton's best interest to sink kerry to the extent that Americans will never trust a democrat in office. No, if it's leaked, and it does not matter who leaks it, Kerry and the dems are finished politically for a long time.

If the public (Bloggers) put enough pressure on kerry to force the MSMs hand like they did in rathergate, just asking the question will be enough to doom kerry. He will not sign a 180, and he will not give a reason why he will not sign it. The dems are afraid of the broadcast because of the questions it will force into the debate.

That is the surprize. Enough folks will force kerry's hand on the 31 pages of his record that he will not release. If he won't answer, surrogates will be able to say that he has some bad (really damaging) paperwork--that he was not even given an honorable discharge originally. That he was discharged in other than honorable circumstances. Kerry's whole "I've defended this country as a young man" speil comes apart.

Yep, that would seal it.

So if you knew that there was information in those medical or service records that would deem Kerry unfit (mental condition, medications, illegal substances or whatever) you wouldn't "leak" those records for the good of the country???

I would! Kerry is obviously hiding something!

Look at the heavy medication Kennedy was under that was unknown to the public prior to his election!!!
With the finger on the button that would put this country in a nuclear war, the last thing we need is someone who is physically and/or mentally unfit or under medication that would make their thought process unbalanced...

I have no doubt as well that he was discharged something other than honorable. It easily explains the two biggest questions.

1) Why he won't sign DD180
2) Why the date on his DD214 is so far past the date he should have really been discharged.

Fox is better at this than lame stream media, but even they don't go far enough. They say he hasnt signed DD180 and (name whichever dim shill) says its a lie. But they never follow up and ask that if its a lie, when did he sign it? They all know he was discharged other than honorable. I say it was a dishonorable, because he was engaged in anti-war activites while still a commisioned officer. BJ Clinton or panty-waist Carter fixed his records.

Clinton, of course, journeyed to the USSR while a "student" at Oxford.

Clinton did more than that. He journeyed to the USSR at the invitation of the KGB and accommodated them by leading an anti-war demonstration in front of the Kremlin.

The American sheeple didn't want to believe this about him anymore than they wanted to believe that he "inhaled" and they elected this anti-American communist nutjob to the office of the president of the United States . . . . TWICE!!!!

If there is any justice (and enough broken glass Republicans) we won't do this to ourselves again - EVER!!!!

Nope. No way, no how. Bad mojo. The military needs to stay just as it is. Remember, the military has many General Franks as well as some General Clarks. To be sure, more Franks than Clarks, but wearing the uniform means following lawful orders and upholding the constitution. The military needs to be divorced from public policy making as an institution.

The Navy already knows what kerry is hiding, but will not release it. Nor should it. Nor would I support the idea that some NCO or Officer release it without proper paperwork.
