I live in North London, possibly the most left wing part of town. I see Americans here all the time. I have no idea what she is talking about.

Some of the posters there also doubt her veracity, based on either their own experiences in the UK not matching hers, or because of her profession making her a likely "drama queen"-as well as making her more apt to run into moonbats. OTOH, her experiences do coincide with many editorials and comments about antiamericanism in different EU countries, as well as the experiences of some of the LGF posters. I think it is possible that she may be conflating a few personal experiences with tales she's been told from other American friends and acquaintances.
Hey Ivan, you live near our dear daughter who resides in North Finchley. She is married to a Brit. She has developed a Brit accent that may save her from abuse, so much so we often feel we need an interpreter.
