Please email/contact this recent list of Sinclair advertisers and let them know that you stand with Sinclair and their First Amendment rights to broadcast "Stolen Honor" - they are being slammed by DUmmies and we need to give this effort some balance.
TOPICS: Activism/Chapters; Culture/Society; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: du; election; kerry; liberals; sinclair; stolenhonor

What and where is Sinclair Broadcasting? I have never heard of it before.Sinclair is a "second tier" broadcaster, with 60 stations nationally; most of their affiliates are Fox and WB affiliates, but it has a smattering of affils from the other networks as well. Their largest market is Baltimore, where they own/manage the Fox & WB affiliates.
I did a piece for Project 21 in August 2001 on their former CEO (who happens to be black), and his opposition to Jesse Jackson's extortion of Sinclair.

Scrip, what do you think of me pinging the list for this thread? It's not homo-agenda, but if Kerry wins, that will be ultra bad for conservatives and good for the homo-agenda...

I try really hard to keep pings on topic, yet in my opinion this is a historic election year with very serious ramifications. I say ping 'em. And I ain't your superior. ;-)

Thanks...I feel the same way, I know it's not par for your list but I fear for this nation if sKerry gets in office and Homosexual "marriage" becomes the law of the land. God help us indeed!

I hope this isn't true, but it just shows how much more we need to act on this. The truth needs to be told, not censored!
According to DU, at least one sponsor, Sylvan, has already pulled it's sponsorship of Stolen Honor:

Sylvan Learning Center pulls ads from Sinclair
by Rakkasan
Tue Oct 12th, 2004 at 16:32:54 GMT
(From the diaries. A great morale boost and proof that our efforts are paying off -- kos) As directed in this forum I sent emails to an advertiser saying that I enjoyed their products but that I was no longer going to use them, and that none of my friends and family were going to use them either because they advertised on Sinclair stations. I went on to tell them why I had a problem with Sinclair as well.
A few minutes ago I received a call from them telling me they were PULLING their advertising from the Sinclair stations.

This is a letter I'm sending to a group of sponsors all at once, any comments, constructive criticism welcome:
To line: Amy.Sherwood@Yum.com; Talbot.cg@pg.com; sonicpr@sonicdrivein.com; boardofdirectors@pepsi.com; consumer_relations@dpsu.com; investor.relations@brinker.com; procermexlt@corona-extra.com; ca.diraimo@applebees.com
Ladies and Gentlemen;
I am writing to support Sinclair Broadcasting's decision to air the documentary Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal. I look forward to watching it, as do my friends and family.
Please allow me to encourage you to not be moved by threats and protests from ideologues. Their protests are no more than badly disguised attempts at censorship as they seek to advance a political agenda. Believe me, the documentary will be widely watched and likely draw huge ratings.
You may know that Sylvan Learning Centers succumbed to pressure for censorship and pulled their sponsorship. There are already campaigns underway to draw support from Slyvan. By not following their example, you will draw customers you never knew you had!
Thanks for making your decision based on sound business principles and not agenda driven dogma. It will be appreciated by millions of viewers.

Yeah, but Michael Moore's trash has already aired in the theatres. I didn't hear the Republicans crying to Mama over that one. Turn about is fair play. The only difference between Michael Moore's trash and Stolen Valor is that Stolen Valor is a TRUE documentary.
Go sinclair, those so blind as to support Kerry need to bear witness to his atrocities against this country, cuz he ain't done folks, first he betrayed his fellow veterans and committed treason against this nation. If he gets in the White House he will betray each and every one of us and those that scream about infringement of their liberties ain't seen nothing yet. With Kerry in the White House we will no longer know what freedom and liberty mean.

Those were my thoughts exactly. I had to laugh at the DUmmies, they are whining and complaining about distortion of the truth, the only straight an accurate road they walk is the one that leads to Hell.

Links to Sinclair Advertisers
Remember in days past when puritanical mothers would band together and boycott companies who advertised on such sexually explicit shows as "Married With Children" or child brainwashing shows like "The Simpsons" or wrong-message-sending shows like "Murphy Brown"? Well, now it's our turn. Daily Kos, posted this list of Sinclair advertisers, and we've provided the links. We are asking our readers to contact these companies and object to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group's airing of "Stolen Honor," described by the Sinclair CEO as "an in-kind donation to George Bush." So make your voice heard already! Halls Fruit Breezers, Sylvan Learning Centers, Kentucky Fried Chicken, ITT Technical Institute, Ford Motor Company, Yahoo DSL, Isuzu, Hardees, Taco Bell, Century 21, Prudential, Cnn.com, General Motors, Geico, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Titan TV, Iams, Miller Lite, Ringling Brothers, Oak Express, ABC Solutions, Kentucky Lottery, Florida Lottery, NFL, Lincoln Mercury, H&R Block, Pontiac, Arby's
[my note-each link connects directly to a comment form or an email, very easy to use!]
A couple of others:
ZigZagZone -- send e-mail to smitty@zigzagzone.com
Warner Bros -- send e-mail to faces@thewb.com (many Sinclair affiliates are WB stations)
The Peach suggests that readers e-mail, phone, or write these companies and request that they withdraw their advertising or programming from SBG affiliates. Readers should also remind these sponsors that, in fact, SBG doesn't provide viewers with news, but instead
acts as another arm of the pro-Bush, Republican propoganda machine. If they want to keep their business with Sinclair, then we don't want what they are selling. Amen!!
As a member of the pro-Bush propaganda machine, I encourage everyone to click and write a few words of support fot this documentary.

The DU-DU's are such DUmmies, I read what the CEO of Sonclair said and it was not what was listed above. And they say we distort things. If they weren't such DUmmies I'd send them all a dictionary with strick orders to read and learn.
