Maybe I'm too dense for this, but as I understand it, President G.W.Bush is the ONLY President ever to fund stem cell research. He will not allow the formation of new embryonic stem cells, however. It seems to me the truth is that the medical technology is not there to use adult or embryonic stem cells to cure Christopher's injuries, Mr. Fox's parkinsons disease, or the leukemia that is killing children as we speak. Private funds can be used to research embryonic stem cell harvesting. Do I understand this situation or do I need to go read some more?

You're correct... funny how the good stuff our President does seems to be lost in the dust -- he doesn't like to badmouth the other person or brag about what he's done...
