Well, NY has some redeeming qualities. Can't think of any right now, but I'm sure there are some :-) Seriously, though - if the rest of the state could get rid of NYC they'd be much better off. NYC is a giant tax-sucking pig of a city.
I couldn't agree more. There are pockets of that here in Buffalo too. The city is a liberal bastion, the suburbs are more "conservative" as far as that goes in this neck of the woods. That is how Jack Quinn a repub. got elected to congress. He was a RINO, but hey he was in the Repub caucus and voted right most of the time. Still, not easy to elect a repub. here. Hell, one district in the city voted, and I'm not kidding here, 10,000 to 300 something for Hillary!! You get the idea.
