Heck, folks, go back only a bit further and there was no Federal income tax! Want to shock a current high school senior? Let them know that fact (that they should know if they are getting their diploma, but likely will not know if they are in a typical public school).
Yes - the public schools are a disgrace and each party keeps bragging about what they have done for education -
Education is but one of the farces put out to the people -
On the no federal taxes - correct but the people were told it was needed - I mean the common talk was - how else would you get all these programs that protect and serve us -
And the government took it from there -
I'd really like to see how much of the American tax money goes to other nations - or to the IMF fund -
The years have taken a toll -
