"...Kerry was given a dishonorable discharge..."
Kerry may well have had a dishonorable disharge, after he fooled around with some of the prostitutes over there.

He also could have been let go for a variety of 'medical' reasons - drugs, being a looney-tune (he was seemingly unable to follow orders or fit in), or 'depression.'
Do NOT forget Ted Kennedy's long term relationship with JFK2. His hands may have very well gotten into Kerry's military records at some point.
kerry served "honorably" my @ss....damn traitor, that
lying jackass should be in leavenworth right now or worse.
with ketchup?
Why doesn't the Prez demand it in the next and last debate?
How about an ad SPECULATING about Kerry's discharge the weekend before the election? What could the do about it?
Gouverneur Morris left out the Air Force, so I guess the President isn't Commander in Chief of that branch.
I agree, an ad that just asks questions? Then says, "HOw can we vote for you, John, when you have left so many questions unanswered"?
1. Pres. Bush signed a 180 form and released all his records, Why didn't you, John?
2. Why does your website have so many conflicitng dates surrounding you discharge from the Navy? John, was you 1st discharge less than an honorable one?
3. Why did you lie about you fellow VietNam buddies while they were still in danger?
4. What made you think you were better prepared to negoiate the peace with the enemy in Paris? Did your youth make you "think" you were "special" because you spent 3 months in Nam?
I'm waiting for C-BS, or any other BM spin outlet, to do a hit piece on Effin' Kerry...
What are they waiting for? It's Oct 10 already!
I'd rather the charge come from the RNC! ..but it'll probably come from the Swiftees! But When?
IMHO, if Kerry is not polling within 5 points of the President a week before the election, then his support will collapse to the 40% level. Some Dems will stay home; some will defect to Nader.
A Dishonorable Discharge is a punitive discharge under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and can only be given as part of the punishment for conviction under a General Courts Martial. Officers convicted by a General Courts Martial do not receive a Dishonorable Discharge, only enlisted personnel can receive that discharge. Officers receive its equivalent, dismissal from the service.
Unfortunately, when Kerry brought great shame on his country and his service, none of those actions were offenses under the UCMJ. At that time, he was serving in the Inactive Reserve and not subject to the UCMJ.
It is, however, imperative that his acts be kept in the news and that voters are aware of his betrayal of his country and fellow service members. The MSM cannot be relied upon to tell the truth about Kerry's past.
You are correct, officers do not get a Dishonorable Discharge, only an enlisted member can receive that discharge. In fact, technically, officers do not receive a discharge at all. They are separated from the service with a statement about their character of service.
There are in fact 4 different discharges that can be awarded; Honorable, General, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable. The last 2 are considered punitive discharges. That is that are part of the punishment given as a result of conviction under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. Do a search on UCMJ text and you will find that under Article 2 of the UCMJ, Kerry wasn't even subject to the UCMJ when he met with the NVA in Paris in the early '70's. At that time he was in the inactive reserve and do not come under the provisions of th UCMJ.
It is a Standard Form (SF) 180.
Is accuracy too much to ask?
