Sent a blast to all of them.
My letter to the board members pasted, but, people we need to get organized. We need to make a FReeper list of all companies, organizations, business, and products associated with people that support the liberal cause and we need to make choices in our buying etc. that support our side rather than theirs.
Example, Sinclair Broadcasting is conservative, Disney is not. Lets get it together, lets promote each other and stop supporting them in any way.
I will gladly create the list. If anyone wants to submit names etc, please do, then periodically I will post it as it grows. Be on notice...I will also note who submitted the name, to give the list credability.
My letter:
Disney Board Members:
I will not say I am disappointed, or shocked or even surprised at the memo written by Mr. Halperin. I as most people have known for a long time that ABC News, its reporters and anchors were liberal, bias and this was strongly reflected in their reporting. We have also known for years that they did their best to influence elections but, until now, we had no hard proof and unlike ABC, we tend to hold our thoughts until we have proof.
Well, here now is the proof. What are you going to do about it? I suggest whatever it is that it be fast, honest and without spin. It is not just ABC at stake here. It is Disney. We are also wise to Disneys affiliation with Michael Moore and F9/11. We also see how you promote liberal philosophies in your productions and we see how so much of that denegrates our society.
I understand why some Countries are upset with what the USA produces and exports to their Countries. Music, movies filled with sex, violence, self indulgence. You produce little these days that is wholesome, productive or inspiring. You will come to an end of this persists. The forces against you and your kind are gathering.
Cut your loses, do what is right for a change. You have some talented people. Put their work to good purpose. Raise your own bar and in the process the bar of everyone in this Country.
First step
..Fire Mr. Halperin. He really must go. I realize that is symbolic. The change necessary is much deeper than that, but its a start. A start that may save you.
The fish rots from the head. Its that simple.
Personally I think the Pres. walked into that one. During the VP Debate, Edwards brought it up and it went unchallenged. The Pres' people should have known it would be brought up again. If the Pres. didn't watch the VP debate, you can be sure his political advisers did.
Of course Halperin has to be fired. It is the only acceptable response.
It's Mark Halperin. You're thinking RICK KAPLAN. You're just mixing up your liberal Jewish news directors!
FWIW, here's mine:
Mr. Eisner, Members of the Board,
Mr. Haplerin's memo urging ABC's news personnel to "go easy" on Kerry, but continue to attack President Bush is a perfect example - IN BLACK AND WHITE - why broadcast journalism is fading from the American Scene.
First and foremost, we out here in "Average America" have NO NEED to be told what our elected officials just said. We are perfectly capable of understanding the spoken word, and are just as capable of forming our own opinions and coming to our own conclusions.
Now that the cards are on the table, it appears as if your Mr. Halperin has stacked the deck in favor of Senator Kerry. You know the rest of the story.
I will be joining many thousands of other individuals and families in a boycott of everything Disney, including ABC television and, sadly, radio. I have listened to WABC in New York since I was 10 years old. I will find another set of programs, or will listen to music.
Average Americans are quite fed up with blatant media bias in favor of the Democrat Party. Please end this practice.
Thank you
(And thanks for the email addresses!)
Good letter. I doubt that they'll listen to it now, but if Bush has a big win they may start to reconsider. What's the point in wrecking their ratings to elect their choice of president if it doesn't even work?
BUMP!
Will do.
This is hugh.
so, you're conservative and you're in the entertaiment industry? then you might want to take a look at the link at the very top of my profile page :o)
another bump! how are you two doing?
I can't answer for Meek,
but I am absolutely HAPPY this morning.
Bush sure put that snot-head elitist in his place last night, didn't he? it was cool :o)
if any so-called "undecided" voter could not see the differences between the two before last night, they sure can now :o)
He sure did.
Kerry looked like a scarecrow and that
finger pointing and hand gesturing really
got out of control. He was sweating like
a pig.
hahaaa!
and not a scarecrow from kansas, either (in which case it would be a compliment to skerry), but rather a FRENCH-crow.
That good ole' Texas Boy did that for sure. A KNOCKOUT!!! That eastern elitist creep was 'roped & doped.' First Debate was what we call in Texas 'rope a dope.' He set that elitist creep up...then with a few punches he nailed him to the wall. No way for tin man to run or hide. ;o) All got to see him for what he is....a self-serving eastern elitist.
AMEN :o)
I'm doing dandy, thanks! :^DI sent my e-mail right before I pinged this.
Rather screwed up on the memos when he INSISTED that we consider the content even if they were forgeries and attacked those who pointed out details that cast doubt on the authenticity.
He stood behind his "facts" for a week and attacked his critics rather than saying that they had been called into question and would be put on the back burner until further substance was determined.
Looks like Dan Rather won't be fired. His employer should have been held to the wall that week. The sheep have been lulled back to sleep.
