October 8th Bush/Kerry Debate
My wife and I heard it and couldnt believe it. I guess he figures hes got Mass sown up so he can insult the fans there. This is from the guy who thought a Red Sox player was named Manny Ortiz.....jesus what a chump Kerry is
I'm stuck at work. Could ya please give my a synopsis of it until I get home and review the taping?
Thanks.
I agree. It is extortion. And Medicare is going to bail out the Pharmaceutical companies' "sticky wicket".
ROFL!
Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?
Here is what it boils down to. I think people are looking for a reason to vote for Bush again. They don't like Kerry, and are unhappy with some of the things Bush has done. They were just looking for Bush to step up and take Kerry on. They want a "cowboy" when we are at war. Bush did what he had to tonight. I do wish he has hit Kerry even more over his record. But at least we saw the beginnnigs of it. How the campaigns respond over the next few days, will tell you a lot. I suspect Bush will do even better on Wednesday. Bush recognizes when he has a problem or doesn't do well. He fixes it and improves each time.
"The president isn't living in a world of reality. If you're a Red Sox fan it's okay. If you're president, it's not."
Kerry was saying that W believes things will happen that never will. Red Sox fans always believe they're going to win the World Series, but never do. It was a stupid analogy/joke that his handlers came up with, and it bombed all over the place.
Pretty sure JK said the SC should "interpret the Constitution according to the law." Probably just an imprecise way of saying it. Certainly leaves him wiggle room to take whatever position is necessary at the moment.
If I close my eyes, I can just imagine it.....
"I said the Supreme Court should interpret the Constitution according to the law. What I meant was that - and I've been consistent on this all along - legally, that's the job of the SC. Now, I made a little mistake in the words I used talking about the Supreme Court. George Bush made a colossal mistake when he said he liked Clarence Thomas. Which is worse?"
DId you see the memo that MArk Halperin, news director at ABC sent out? LOL, its incredible. Bush not only has to be President he has to do the medias job by vetting the democrat presidential candidate. The networks are out of control!
Synopsis = GW (10), F*ing (2)
No s**t? Any good retorts? Did Kerry get his rear end handed back to him in chunks?
Don't know her. Just switched to it. Glad Buchannan is there!
An internal memo written by ABCNEWS Political Director Mark Halperin admonishes ABC staff: During coverage of Democrat Kerry and Republican Bush not to "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable."
The controversial internal memo, obtained by DRUDGE, captures Halperin stating how "Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win."
Halperin claims that Bush is hoping to "win the election by destroying Senator Kerry at least partly through distortions."
"The current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done," Halperin writes.
Halperin's claim that ABCNEWS will not "reflexively and artificially hold both sides 'equally' accountable" set off a sparks in St. Louis where media players gathered to cover the second presidential debate.
Oh lord, Susan Estrich is on Greta. I can't listen.
Absolutely. And I liked the questions, a handsome gamut that were well phrased, pertinent and hey, while I watched as a Bush backer, I was really INTERESTED in the responses. Heck, I only fell asleep once, and then only for ten minutes.
As for Bush, well I had reached the end of my rope with him though understand I love him. But we've sent out the shills and the congress critters. We've got Roccicot, Rove et all toting the line. We've got Rush Limbaugh three hours a day saying what has to be said and of course, God is on our side...so says I
It was time for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to say it!
I like how he bought up the UN corruption, the way he handled the WMD question, one more damn time was his verbal attitude but he was strong and firm about it.
I liked the way he jumped off the chair from eagerness of response. The MSM has already condemned him for this but pay it no mind. Bush was THERE, he was ready, his tongue had become unloosed.
So far as I am concerned, Bush can go back to Crawford and cut wood until the election. Because the world knows how Bush feels and if anyone calls the man anything but consistant then they'd be lying.
It's the REAL problem the MSM has with Bush. They have met an unmoveable force. He believes what he believes and he's not waffling about it.
Mine President, you done well tonight and frankly, it's about time. Your oft overlooked base consisted of many Mt. Saint Helens, all of us about to blow.
Hey, plenty who listened might still vote for Kerry. But it won't be because they were confused on how Bush stood on the issues.
Ron Reagan.
Hiring Chris Wallace was the lst sign of FOX's catering to the "other side".
Isn't he the son of Mike Wallace from SeeBS? If so, figures.
Kerry: "Brain and brain! What is brain!"
Alright sleuths. Where did this come from?
I MISSED IT!! I SO wanted to watch the debate . . . but the football game got the better of me . . . let's see if this post makes 7,000
