Kerry condescendingly says he respects her pov and "knows where it comes from". He mentions Nancy Reagan. No Michael J. Fox and a man in the audience who said "Don't take away my hope".
Kerry is ignoring the question about adult and umbilical stem cells. We can do "ethically guided" embryonic stem cell research.
They introduced the First Lady, and she came out, so graceful and lovely in her blue suit. Then Theresa came out. She didn't appear, to me at least, to be aware of where she was. You had to see it; she looked stoned.

He's not making an argument FOR embryonic stem cells; he's making an emotional appeal.
Kerry stumbling over stem cell question, floudering, searching, reaching, sputtering -- what a fool.
Question, "no one has been cured by using embryonic stem cells...."
