I live in Houston and the local news had some guy from U of H talking about how Bush is too informal and Kerry although formal is eloquent. blah, blah, blah He was asked if he thought Bush would do better in this type of format. That was his answer.
Before the next (and last) debate, I'll make a short and quick animated gif. of it and post it on the debate thread, or, at least a link to the animation.
You know, Chris actually voted for GW the first time around. But it's his guests, Ron the Freak and Adria Mitchell, etc. that get my blood boiling!

I really believe that Bush will be reelected. It does concern me that 1 of our supposed major parties would nominate a "do nothing" pacifist like Kerry during this time of war.
You are right, in the end it is a referendum on the Bush Doctrine. I believe he (and the country)will prevail. If we don't then God help us - because France, Germany, and the UN certainly won't.
