OTTOWA -- A full-length animated film about the early life of the Prophet Muhammad is being released in North America to help fight anti-Muslim prejudice.
Muhammad: The Last Prophet will be screened in 37 cities, including Toronto, London, Ont. and Windsor, Ont., for one week starting Nov. 14.
The screenings coincide with Eid ul-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the Islamic fast of Ramadan.
Rabiah Ahmed, spokeswoman for the Council on American Islamic Relations, which is sponsoring the screenings, said studies have shown prejudice decreases when people get accurate information about Islam. She said the film is timed so that Muslim families can celebrate Eid with a film, and also to spread awareness about Islam to the non-Muslim community.
It's now 7.30 pm and counting shows 52 'seats' for Howard and 25 for the Opposition. Percentage counted is only around 30% but it's a VERY GOOD indication! ( Good enough for a glass of red wine.)
Can't wait for November 2nd. Predicting a champaign evening for you.
LOLOLOL!
:^D
I'm at the "informed vigilance" level now. What is the next level?
BTTT
Any news FRiend?
Isn't showing an image of Muhammad a no-no in Islam?
Oh gosh I'm so sorry, I posted a reply to the wrong FReeper! I guess it's all over the US by now, Howard won with a big margin. I couldn't happier. The President of the US did great, read over 5000 comments on the live thread and shared every moment.
Bush/Cheney 4 more years!
The "intolerance" Muslims face here is a frickin' cakewalk compared to the very real intolerance that Muslims dish out across the world.
So, dear Islamists, shove it where Allah's light don't shine.
While I'll stand for any person in this country to worship as they please I draw the line at the islamanazis! Non Muslims have a clear choice in the minds of the this cult...."CONVERT OR DIE"
