Thug tactics' in sheriff's race: One deputy fired, 3 suspended for trying to intimidate woman to display McDonough sign
By RICK COLLINS The Patriot Ledger
A Plymouth County deputy sheriff has been fired and three others suspended for trying to intimidate a 71-year-old Bridgewater woman and her family into displaying a campaign sign for Sheriff Joseph McDonough on their front lawn.
This was just absolutely outrageous and unacceptable,'' said Caitlin Buron, whose mother-in-law, Diane, and husband, David, were angrily confronted by the uniformed deputies this week.
McDonough, who is engaged in a tight race for re-election against Republican Joseph McDonald, quickly sought to put distance between himself and his four overzealous employees.
Deputy Robert Monsini of Bridgewater has been fired, and deputies Walter Rawley, Evan Gurman and Gary Edelson have each been suspended for 30 days. All four work for the sheriff's department part-time.

I don't think so, chums.
The deputies should be fired, as well.
Intimidation and violation of his civil rights.
I hope she sues the pants off of them.
Well, I thought that this kind of stuff ONLY happened in the southern states, where people are under the heel of jack booted thugs with southern accents and wore reflective sunglasses and called everyone "BOY!?
This is in the informed and intellectual northeast, home of Harvard, MIT and John Kerry?
Not possible!
The Amerikan Brown Shirts are here -- operating under the guise of the democRAT-lib-socialist party. Stay safe; stay armed.
