Friday October 08, 2004--On the day of the second Presidential Debate, the Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows President George W. Bush with 48% of the vote and Senator John Kerry with 46%. The Tracking Poll is updated daily by noon Eastern.
Regardless of who they want to win, 53% of voters think President Bush will be re-elected.
"But Governor, what about Dingell-Norberry?"
Sorry, couldn't resist.
"But Governor, what about Dingell-Norwood?"
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Well, I totally disagree that anyone was ever going to replace Kerry as the candidate.
Devine or human strategery.
I'm sorry if I offended you. Surely you know that is the pet name for the democrats from democrat underground. I should have said conservatives instead of Republicans. I love conservative democrats. (Go Zell)!
he. I'll take either.
I know what the DU stands for. I appreciate your comments. Its the "Us v. Them" thing that gets me roiled at FR every once in a while. I'd like to think that the "Us" is a group of free thinking, logical individuals who have the long term interest of the nation at heart and not to cloud the discussion of issues with something less noble.
It is us vs them. Bush suppoters vs Kerry supporters.
One last thought on the DUmmies like to see us down comments.....UH OBVIOUS!
The thing about Freepers is that they care that much and feel deeply about their beliefs and government. When they smacked (which is to be expected at any point in any game) they get hurt and show their emotions.
Sometimes in here those emotions go a little to far. And the DUmmies seize upon it. So remember before you post the Doom and Gloom threads because we had a bad day in the news or the MSM threw another baseless bomb at us....YOU ARE ENABLING YOUR ENEMY! They love it, it gives them hope...
REMEMBER GENERAL GIAP!
I couldn't have said it better. Thats what I was trying to say when I opened my mouth and inserted foot. I was only talking about the radicals at DU.
I guess I am an official freeper now. I survived my first controversy without running away and crying!
The open arms inclusive attitude is one we will embrace ONLY if it equates to 1) Victory and 2) Them changing their minds. We'll go along with the warm fuzzy comment of "Join us as we move forward together" as long as it means they change their attitudes and align themselves with us. Period. Full stop.
No Compromise. Compromise with Democrats cost Bush Sr his no new taxes pledge and that got us 8 years of disgrace in the WH.
You should ask the Admin Moderator for permission to put that in its own thread.
I've been reading a lot of comments, and a lot of the doom-and-gloomers are newbies who have NEVER had anything positive to say about Bush and Cheney, ever. I've bagged 3 or 4 trolls in the last week alone.
Demoralized comments are in itself demoralizing. And demoralization is the last thing we need.
Even though I am in the Northeast, I'm spending $220 to fly down to my hometown in NC, and CASTING MY BALLOT IN PERSON. I do not trust my absentee ballot to not to be intercepted and destroyed.
JOB APPROVAL
Ross Perot cost Bush, Sr. his second term.
(That and Barbara's quote that they weren't really sure they wanted to stay in Washington for a secound term.)
"Read my lips..." was the MSM's red herring.
Good, then we win again.
Rasmussen's horse race numbers are understated. His polls show Bush is preferred on the economy over Kerry by 4 points. If this were really true, Bush would be *way* ahead. Dems historically have not been competative unless they lead in this category by 7 points.
You have the right idea my friend.
Several polls now show Bush even or leading Kerry on economic issues.
