I don't mean to sound callous...And I know this will, but people who go to Iraq know what the risks are.

I hate seeing the parents of soldiers killed in the war dishonoring the memories of their children by turning on the government. Their kids knew when they joined the military that they could be called upon to risk thier lives in the interest of a (usually) grateful nation.

This guy and his family did more to undermine Tony Blair and his government's decsision to help the U.S. rid the world of Saddam Hussein than just about any other single event since the conflict began.

Nobody knows what they will do when faced with their own brutal murder, but I would hope most would maintain an iota more dignity than this guy and his family back home did.

Reminded me of the Nick Berg thing...Now Bigley's family just like the Berg family will use the tragic death of a family member that was not forced to go to Iraq as a tool to affect their nation's political process.

That is so true. The family has done everything to show support for the scum that kidnapped Bigley. I even heard his brother agree on everything a lunatic jihadist was saying in a radio interview (this mudslime told the presenter that he rejoiced on 9-11).

Bigleys brother was also due to speak at an anit-war protest this weekend. But none of that saved his brother and the terrorists took full advantage of the pressure the family were placing on Blair. Imagine if a British soldier was captured during WW2 and the family were campaigning on behalf of nazis in an effort to get him released. Also, 2 Americans were beheaded before Bigley was, but that little detail was rarely mentioned during this sorry saga. May they rest in peace.
