I hate living in western Oregon and am seriously contemplating moving to another part of the country.
I prefer more sunshine, less cloudy days and a conservative majority.
Any advice is kindly regarded.
That's Lambert field, poser!
Avoid NYstate.......land of high taxes, long winters, and the hildebeast. I, too, hope to move one day.
But isn't the property tax sky high.....?
North or south pole. You can manufacture all the global warming you want - and no one will notice...
You are pronouncing it wrong. John Kerry told me the Packers play in Lambert Field.
Check Wyoming.
Where in Texas do you live?
I have though about Texas on more than one occasion and was sad to discover that Austin is the pinko capital of Texas.
What other parts of TX do you suggest? I prefer to be about an hour away from a major metro area.
Costa Rica!
Dallas, Texas or a suburb.
Come to Indiana, Pa. It's the hometown of Jimmy Stewart and Indiana Univ. of Pa. When the university is not in session it's pretty conservative. Uh, well, sort of... Well. In any case, we could always use more conservatives. :-)
If you like small to mid sized southern type cities, Lexington Kentucky and Johnson City Tennessee come to mind, not necessarily in either city proper but nearby.
Beautiful country, Republican since Lincoln. They even have winter.
Yeah httc. Where do you live?
1962-anyone who wants a safe Republican area, come to Alabama. Freepmail me for more info. We're about as conservative as can be.
Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida. Sunny and warm most of the time (except during 3 or 4 hurricnaes) and an excellent conservative, Republican climate as well.
Just move to the dry side. Eastern Oregon, we have the sun and the conservatives.
We'd be glad to have you in Savannah. It's a bit warm here, but it's also quite warm.
You can move next door to me in Virginia. I loathe my neighbors and their Kerry/Edwards signs.
people in texas may think it's high, but I've compared online the property tax rates for my state and texas, and texas has it beat by a mile. Plus you can get more house for less in texas since they have so much dang land (in addition to being a huge state, they have about the lowest % of government owned land).
I beg to differ with you. I LIVE in the most corrupt city in the country..... Los Angeles!!My lone Bush/Cheney lawn sign stands out like a lone light in a dark world of Kerry/Edwards posters.
