A good reply but not quite enough.

Why showing your citizenship papers or your birth certificat is "the mark of the beast"? Every citizen should have one or it isn't hard to obtain one. They should have to register IN PERSON showing proof of citizenship.

If states allow non citizens to vote in state elections so be it. But perhaps they should prove they pay taxes, this only for non citizens.

If the figures are correct, we may have as many as 10 up to 15 million illegal aliens [not immigrants] in this country. How in the world, in a large city, could one begin to tell if they are citizens or not? By citizenship papers or birth certificate's, very easy.

They put your picture on your driver's license, why not your voter registration? Is it more important to drive than vote?

You have to take a test to drive, why not to vote. As I've said ,I am 81 years of age, and just took the drivers test in North Carolina, and passed and could pass a test on the basic knowledge about the Constitution and History of this country.

I believe there has been more fraud in registering this year than anything I have ever read about.

I'm not sure what we can do. I am sure we HAVE to do something.

You are right Miss Frannie, it isn't.

One the other hand, I wonder why people get so bent out of shape over a national ID when there already is a national ID. It's called your Social Security Number.

How about a poll test? As I recall, there is/was a written test to become a citizen of the USA. You have to demonstrate basic proficency in standard American english (this may have changed) and an understanding of American history and how our form of government works.
Right now, our schools are turning out graduates who couldn't pass this test. I'd like to see it as a requirement for voting rights.
