School Plans, Security Information Gathered by Suspected Iraq Insurgent Focus Concern on Schools in Six States
By Brian Ross
Oct. 7, 2004 Schools in six states in particular are being watched closely based on information uncovered by the U.S. military in Baghdad this summer, law enforcement and education officials told ABC News.

Well this will make his day then. I hope the home of every Muslim child enrolled watched closely. Jr. better be getting on that bus.
believe me it's anywhere USA,because your town is not mentioned don't let guard down we the public should be at RED alert all the time
If we find a common denominator then we could identify other schools at risk. This is one man or woman's tape. Who is to say others aren't more?
When I took my grandson to school Tue, I made a loop thru the parking lot first.
Oh, dear...now I'll NEVER get any sleep tonight.
And though the information was recovered in July, it was not given urgency until the attack in Beslan.
Pardon me, but this represents a stunning lack of imagination on the part of the administration's anti-terror leadership. An insurgent element in Baghdad downloads the blue prints and security layout of high schools and elementary schools in the U.S. prior to Beslan and no one thinks the unthinkable until the massacre occurs in Russia? What the President needs to do is jettison his famous loyalty and fire these numbnuts' and replace them with tough-as-nails, pipe hard sumbitches who can think the impossible before my children, your children, our children become victims. (By the way, if he pulls this kind of bold move he will be elected in a walk).
School officials in Fort Myers, Fla.; Salem, Ore.; Gray, Ga.; Birch Run, Mich.; two towns in New Jersey; and two towns in California have been told to increase security in light of the discovery.
Officials in the New Jersey towns, Franklinville and Rumson, were notified by counterterrorism officials last month that their schools had been possibly singled out.
"Once we were notified, we immediately put a plan into effect," said Dwight Pfenning, deputy commissioner of education for the state of New Jersey.
This sort of thing raises the hackles on by back. I pray we never have another Beslan, I pray no one else ever has a Beslan.
"Vox suggested parents take out life insurance
policies on their children."
I'd rather they take their children out of the schools especially if the schools have been bullseyed. It's not difficult to organize homeschool co-ops and they can use flex-time for the working parents.
I think a school in San Diego was one of the targets.
OK I really have to start proofing my posts better. Yikes!
Just remember, wrong war, wrong place, wrong time - or something like that. The only way we know about these documents is because we have boots in Baghdad.
Gray, Georgia is near Macon, where Warner Robbins AFB is located.
No, it's much more important that we not offend the NEA or start teaching children the values of their parents (not to mention how to actually read), than take them out of public schools to avoid terrorists ;)
To dubie:

Bullseye!
He is a TERRORIST, not an Insurgent.
I see it now, thanks to you.
Sure wish I bookmarked the other thread.
