(IsraelNN.com) An explosion occurred a short time ago in the Taba Hilton, on the Egyptian side of the border. According preliminary reports from Magen David Adom emergency medical service officials, the cause of the blast was a gas tank.
There are unconfirmed reports of dozens of injured. The IDF has already ordered helicopters into the air and MDA is mobilizing to treat the many wounded in the blast. Details to follow as they become available.
at least 30 dead, more then 120 injured. Many details still unclear of what is happening due to Egyptian problems.
Nope.
You?
Oh my gosh --- why did so many feel they were safe there??? Prayers for the wounded and those we lost.
Thank you for giving us the update and news being reported
World reaction so far to attack:
none
IDF radio reporting that right now
Right now my son-in-law is in the Sinai, with the New Jersey National Guard, as part of the multinational force --enforcing the treaty between Egypt and Israel. For 40 years it's been quiet there----I hope it will remain quiet and this is just an abberation.
You're doing a great job yonif... thanks.
Where are all the moderate Muslims who should be outraged at the extremists who are supposedly hijacking their peaceful religion?
Yeah, I noted immediately that Al Jazeera reported that most of the victims were Jews, so most of their audience could say "Oh, well, no big deal" or worse...
Its a holiday right now. Mainly Israelis who go there go to places close to the border with Israel. There is "peace" don't you know? Funny, almost 0 Egyptian tourists come to Israel.
Yesha news site reports: Israeli citizens trying to break through border with Egypt which is being closed by Egyptian troops. Shots being fired in the air by Egyptian border guards.
No! It only lasts
as long as other countries
allow "charities"
to raise the funding
that pays the PLO nuts,
and it only lasts
while Israel takes
"proportional" force into
account in response.
When Western countries
cut off PLO funding
and the Israelis
strike their enemies
all at once, hard, all over,
then it will end there.
Wow I forgot we still sent troops there. Thank him for me. My son is in Iraq, my daughter in Eilat
A news-site in Israel reports that technically Egyptian officials closing their border is a breach of the "peace-treaty" with Israel, which forbids the closing of the border.
I agree plus we should freeze all assets of countries that harbor terrorists.
Welcome to all the MOABites who are joining this thread in progress.
Just saw the ABC report on this atrocity on their network news.
Nothing of the negligence that is posted here here was mentioned by Peter Jennings and the on site reporters. A whitewash again as usual.
I expected no less.
IDF Radio: Usually when a terror attack occurs in Israel, we know most of what happened in 30min. Due to fact it is in Egypt, nothing is clear and there is lots of fog over what is happening.
