October 7, 2004 -- IF there is any mercy left in the universe, Dr. Phil who is such a giant gasbag that he should be flying over Macys at Thanksgiving is finished doing presidential candidate interviews. Cant somebody sneak in some kind of constitutional amendment or something? Yesterday it was John and Teresa Heinz Kerrys chance to be grilled by Phil at their house about what they thought mostly about Dr. Phils fantasticparenting ideas. How political wives dont become professional divorcees, I dont know. Its one thing to be forced to eat rubber chicken at nightly fund-raisers but its another to be forced to walk through piles of bull day after day. Then it was Mrs. Phils chance to suck up, saying how she just knows she and Teresa
had lots in common because they both raised sons. (She said she had lots in common with Laura Bush last week!) Phil, who might not have as much in common with Teresa, managed to bring up the fact that Teresa is very outspoken (mostly about being outspoken I think), which she agreed that she, indeed, was. Not exactly what youd call a Barbara Walters moment. Then he said (about 47,000 times) to John Kerry, You get
it and when he wasnt oncamera the ever-popular, He gets it.

The guy makes me nauseous...
A true girly-man.
I heard a talk-show caller say a few months ago that John Kerry should win the presidency "because he and Teresa as just sooooooooo glamorous!" (breathless adoration) The host (Rush) pressed her on why Kerry should be president: policies? Couldn't answer. Senate accomplishments? Couldn't answer. Promises as to where he would lead America? Couldn't answer. But John and Teresa "should be couple of the year," the gal said, and thus Kerry deserved to be president. (What makes me shudder is that people like this actually go to the polls and vote!)
The wheels on the bus go.....
Oh I missed that and love Dennis Miller. I did see a funny piece on CNN about a show host who went out and got undecideds into the studio ,,it was a comedy show on CNN, the morning show or something. Then when she got them in the room, the host went off on them ending with S... or get off the pot. It was hysterical and the camera shots of the undecideds were priceless.
I think undecideds are attention seekers.
Damn you!
I think they are actually people for whom voting is one of the hardest things their minds will deal with it and they actually do wait untill the last minute. They are waiting for dirt to be dug up or they really do have a hard time making decisions.
LOL! I could use some Phildoo in my yard...
Depends what's on TV that night.
Can you provide it please?
You really need to find a clip of that. (from memory) "They're like those people with the pink spoons in the ice-cream shops, sampling all 50 flavors, then settling on vanilla..."
Sorry, very "html challenged" (though I've learned alot here at FR)....It would be greatly surprising to me if one of our oh-so-talented community has not already posted the clip on another thread. Well worth the look-see, I'm series.
Dr. Phil and Kerry???? anyone that could watch that HAS to be a glutton for punishment!! that worse than watching algore kiss Tipper...barf
LOL

Yes they do.
And to rub salt in that wound, I usually find myself in line at the polls standing in front of, or behind, just such people. You know before you even start voting that your vote has been "cancelled" by the likes of them.
When Dr. Phil started praising Kerry, knowing the kind of elitist, pompous, lying *ss Kerry is, my respect level of the ole doctor dropped a few points.
...kiss from me to you, Won't you say you....
I thought I was done with the KidVid stuff, after raising four. Now I'm Grandpa and the little guy is growing up in my house. I feel like Vito Corleone..."They keep pulling me back in..."
Simple ideas for simple minds.
The way he pronounces "YOOOOOUUUUUU" is a spot-on match for Dr. Phil.
And, Dr. Phil's comments are just about as insightful. Dr. Phil has the flair for stating the obvious.
For example, here's two Dr. Phil quotes that I'm "amazed" at...
"If you don't want to mess things up, stop messing around!"
"In all your life, there's only 1 person you can care for: YOOOUUUUU".
It's painful to listen to both of these guys.
