W hints Kerry a coward BY KENNETH R. BAZINET in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and HELEN KENNEDY in Cleveland DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITERS Wednesday, October 6th, 2004 As polls showed the presidential race tightening in battleground states, an anxious President Bush tried to regain momentum yesterday by ramping up his rhetoric, all but branding Sen. John Kerry a coward. "On Iraq, Sen. Kerry has a strategy of retreat," Bush said. "I have a strategy of victory." Slashing at his opponent in Pennsylvania, Bush told supporters that Kerry has called the Iraq war a "mistake," an "error" and "a diversion." "You can't win a war you don't believe in fighting," the President declared. Bush spoke as his own hand-picked weapons inspector delivered a devastating report saying Saddam Hussein destroyed all his weapons of mass destruction in 1991 because he was afraid of UN inspections and had no plans to try to make any more until UN scrutiny and sanctions were lifted. Even then, Saddam's targets were Iran and Israel, not the U.S., and he had no plans to arm terrorists, according to Charles Duelfer's report. The finding bolsters Kerry's argument that Iraq was no threat to America. Bush's confident serving of red meat to an adoring, cheering crowd was a striking contrast to his seeming consternation at being challenged on the wisdom of the war by Kerry in last week's debate. The President laughed off the peevish scowls he displayed in the debate. "He said he wants to hold a summit meeting so he can invite other countries to join what he calls 'the wrong war in the wrong place at the wrong time.' He said terrorists are pouring across the Iraqi border, but also said that fighting those terrorists is a 'diversion' from the war on terror," Bush chortled. "You hear all that and you can understand why somebody would make a face!" With the veep debate producing no striking change in the race and all eyes on tomorrow night's presidential rematch in St. Louis, Team Kerry ridiculed Bush for seeking a debate "mulligan." "The President tried to redo the debate from last week by giving a speech full of untruths he couldn't say on stage with John Kerry because he knew Kerry would knock them down," said Kerry spokesman Phil Singer. Fresh polls added to the drama, showing Kerry surging back to ties or leads in Florida, New Hampshire and New Mexico. In New Jersey, a Quinnipiac poll showed Kerry with a three-point lead, up from a tie last month but far from Al Gore's slam-dunk margin in 2000. Team Kerry's nervousness about the Garden State is evident: John Edwards is campaigning there today, in Bayonne. |
I firmly believe Kerry would use the body of an innocent baby to shield himself from a bullet. Kerry's mentality is me, myself and I first. Bush/Cheney 2004
"I firmly believe Kerry would use the body of an innocent baby to shield himself from a bullet. "
According to Kerry, no baby is innocent. Every baby is guilty of placing an undue burden on a woman and should be executed.
Maybe thats the October Surprise.
Compliments of the Clinton's
Yeah Kerry should be in jail for treason and he should be joined by the man who who pardoned him...Carter.
I will top that,,I think he would use the bodies of ten babies to protect his manicure. I think he is cold as ice.
My point is : Kerry said he defended his country,
somebody needs to ask him,
what changed between Mar '69, when (Kerry)you were
in Viet Nam, to, Jun '70 in Paris,
talking to the enemy.
This phrase, along with the loaded title, should be used as an example in Journalism 101 as how NOT to write a news story.
I notice this article refers to Duelfer's report in saying Saddam Hussein's wasn't a threat and that bolsters Kerry's belief that Saddam wasn't a threat. THAT CONTRADICTS WHAT KERRY HIMSELF FLIP-FLOPPED ON IN THE FIRST DEBATE-KERRY ENDED BY CHANGING HIS MIND AND SAYING SADDAM HUSSEIN WAS A THREAT. This article and that reporter do not have their facts straight.
Kerry is possible of doing anything to save his commie ass. Ten babies, sounds right for Kerry and he would throw in Terayshu for insurance. Bush/Cheney 2004
I am sure that is Kerry's delusional concept.
