LIFE SPACE COVER
September 14, 1959
Noted this when reading the LIFE space issue. And now with Cooper passing away.
The Astronauts are in the order they died in.
On the right front to back we have Grissom, Slayton & Shepard
And now starting left front we have Cooper
With the living ones Glenn, Schirra and Carpenter in the center.
So whos next?
Apollo 1 fire Jan. 27 1967
Challenger Jan 28 1986
Columbia Feb 1 2003
( I havent check yet But I think were the Shuttle started its re-entry it was still Jan.)
Dont fly at the end of Jan.
The damage occurred in January, upon lift-off. Ice is not a toy. Death by frozen PC enviro-wacko foam. Thanks NASA.
Go Rutan.
See the image.
There's that phrase again: "One of Seven"
Lord, forgive me, but I hope so. That man sold his soul, covered for Hillary at D'Amato's Banking hearings in the Senate and has called Republicans Nazis, all for another ride on the Shuttle, to test the affect of micro-gravity on aging.
When Storey Musgrave, the Hubble Mechanic was grounded for aging.
That's precisely the kind of dangerous Glory-Hounding at Taxpayer expense made impossible by the President's Space Initiative.
Gordo spent most of his flight praising God for allowing him to see the wonderous things he saw, long before folks took such things for granted.
Glenn was apolitical Glory hound from day one. Gordo was a true pilot.
A-Okay, Jose. The Clock has started.
LOL I was wondering how long before someone would put a reply up like yours.
Not part of the Seven of Nine hive I guess.
Storey Musgrave is a stud.
Plus, Glenn is the only one in the photograph wearing a bow tie, offering further proof, as if it were needed, that you can not trust a man who wears a bow tie. Including George Will and Tucker Carlson. Okay, maybe Ronald McDonald.
