Letter from Senator Debbie Stabenow on AWB (Semi-Automatic machine guns? WTF?)
Michigan Gun Owners and Debbie Stabenow ^ | 10-5-04 | Debbie Stabenow

Posted on 10/06/2004 5:29:56 PM PDT by Dan from Michigan

October 5, 2004

Thank you . . .

. . for contacting me to express your disappointment with my recent vote regarding the assault weapons ban. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views with me.

I share your support for Second Amendment rights. However, law enforcement agents across the state have made it clear to me that keeping guns such as uzis and semi-automatic machine guns off our streets will help make our communities safer. Organizations such as the Police Officers Association of Michigan, which represents over 10,000 law enforcement officers, have asked that the assault weapons ban be renewed to keep our streets safer. I respect the opinion of those who feel strongly in favor of assault weapons, however, I believe the judgment of trained experts from our law enforcement agencies provide a compelling argument to do what we can to protect our Second Amendment rights while keeping our neighborhoods and children safe from military-style weapons.

Again thank you for taking the time to contact me. Please feel free to do so whenever I may be of assistance to you or your family.

Sincerely,
Debbie Stabenow
United States Senator

Is Debbie Stabneow and her staffers that stupid?

I'm surprised this poster on MGO's site got a response. I'm usually ignored. LOL.

Engler had to leave office because of term limits. I have no idea what he's been doing since then.

Engler's retired and dropped out of politics for the most part. He was term limited out for governor in 02.

He has three young kids too. I think he just wants to retire with his family.

Is this really from a United States Senator? How could someone that stupid rise to such a prominent position?

And, BTW since when does a U.S. Senator call herself "Debbie"? It sounds like a volunteer aide at the local library.

Heres her response to my letter about democratic vote fraud.

October 5, 2004

Mr. xxxx xxxxxx

Thank you . . .

. . for contacting me regarding your support for requiring the
voting system to produce a voter-verified paper record. I appreciate
you taking the time to share your views with me.

I share your concerns about voting machines that only produce
electronic results. Voters should have the security of a paper trail
to make sure their vote has been counted and can be recounted if
necessary. As you may know, Senator Bob Graham introduced the
Voter Confidence and Increased Accessibility Act of 2003
(S.1980) on December 9, 2003 in the Senate. This bill would
amend the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to require a voter-
verified permanent record, as well as requiring a study to develop
best practices to enhance accessibility and voter-verification
mechanisms for disabled voters.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me. Please continue
to keep me informed about issues of concern to you and your
family.

Sincerely,
Debbie Stabenow
United States Senator

She failed to address my complaint on the massive fraud her party is attempting to pull off in Michigans 04 election.

I recently wrote Stabenow on her Goss vote. She is a damn extremist, one of twelve votes against his confirmation. I told her that it was yet another of her many, many votes in opposition of my views. I also let her know that I regretted having only one vote to express my opinion of her come election day.

How could someone that stupid rise to such a prominent position?

Wayne(Detroit), Genesee(Flint), Washtenaw(Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti), and Ingham(Lansing/East Lansing) counties.

Debbie Stab-me-now is up for election in 2006.
She won with 49% last time. She can be beaten by a strong candidate.

Like Mike Rogers or Candice Miller.
