Is this really from a United States Senator? How could someone that stupid rise to such a prominent position?
And, BTW since when does a U.S. Senator call herself "Debbie"? It sounds like a volunteer aide at the local library.

How could someone that stupid rise to such a prominent position? Wayne(Detroit), Genesee(Flint), Washtenaw(Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti), and Ingham(Lansing/East Lansing) counties.

Yes to your first question and your second question is due to the highly populated socialist/Union pockets of Detroit, Flint, Saginaw and Bay City that pretty much control the statewide vote.
FWIW, Spencer ABraham, who was replaced by little Debbie was a Republican who was as usless as tits on a boar hog........and guess where he is now.
