I also thought the Veep did a terrific number on Silky. Listening to Chicago's CBS radio affiliate this morning, though, I was surprised that they hadn't found a single person who thought Cheney had won the debate. Or, if they did, they didn't choose to put it on the air.

I am shocked. Shocked.

If George Bush had been half as good as Dick Cheney in his debate in Miami last week, this race would be over.

AMEN!!!

No thought whay-so-ever. All pre-canned.

I watched the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed watching VP Cheney systematically take Edwards apart.

Edwards was so pathetic, going back to stuff that he failed to get out in previous questions. And it was all stuff we've heard before.

I could have recorded Kerry/Edwards stump speaches and played them back without Edwards even being there and would have had the same result.

I suppose that would be in keeping with his Senate attendance record. Just put a tape recorder in his seat while he's out and about doing other "stuff".

Yep. Mr. Gone he most certainly is.

Thanks to all who responded to that question. I thought maybe I was getting too paranoid. Now some idiot is in the background at FOX holding up a Kerry sign. Oh well I better get off to work.

Have a good day all

I have long ago reconciled myself to the fact that President Bush is the heart of the Administration and Vice President Cheney is the head. I am not saying that President Bush is not a very smart man. In fact, it takes a very smart and very secure man to bring a talent like Dick Cheney into the Administration and use him to best advantage.

If anyone has any doubts about who controls policy in the Bush White House, Dick Cheney put that question to bed when he was asked about gay marriage. The moderator attempted to insert a wedge between the Vice President and the President over this issue. Vice President Cheney allowed as to how he disagrees with the President over this particular point, but that the President sets policy for the Administration, and he supports the President.

George W. Bush has a very good heart. Dick Cheney has a very good head. Together they make a formidible package.

Edwards smarmy little speech about Cheneys daughter was absolutely despicable. It was cheap, it was classless and it showed him to be the greasy little ambulance chase that he is.

I thought the VP's reponse was perfect. It showed class and restraint. I believe its brevity totally caught Edwards off-guard and made him look even more petty and foolish.

I watched the whole debate and thought Gwen Ifill was great. She started off with a very slanted question and I thought "here we go again", but, she asked Edwards some tough slanted questions too.

Cheney won hands down. Edwards facial expressions reminded me of Gore. Edwards also had this annoying habit of sticking his tongue out after drinking. Got to be pretty funny. Trial lawyers really are snakes.

Another thing I noticed last night was that Edwards couldn't give an answer without saying "John Keeereee" at least twice. It was hilarious that even during that question that they were supposed to answer themselves, he couldn't stop saying it.

Quite obviously, the man is in love.

MEGA BUMP TO YOU!! Howie writes like a poet, and his words concerning Edwards were like the "Rock" on a saturday night PPV Smackdown.
